Anything on the rumor mill about dog-friendly Rivian accessories? Given the powered cover in the truck and the camp kitchen in the tunnel, I'm expecting like a dog escalator or heated Orvis beds or maybe an integrated dog washing hose... Just curious if there's been any chatter. My dogs are anxious to learn more about their new ride!

IIRC only a pet mode but I am sure eventually a lot of pet accessories will be available.
Pet mode? Chicken scent that drifts out of the A/C vents while driving?

In all seriousness, our last two Audi allroad wagons had mesh screens from the factory that divide the rear and front sections, but not much more than that. Hope to hear more eventually about what might be in the works.

The camp kitchen will have an option convert to a dog washing station, for those furry friends that enjoy a less tidy adventure. Complete with a gear tunnel-powered fur dryer, for the bargain price of an extra $5K.

I'll carry an old towel.

Early on I asked if they could have some kind of clip system in the bed for a crate. Crickets...

Keep in mind that once Full Self-Driving mode arrives, your dogs will no longer need you to go for a joy ride. Better devise a dog-proof storage strategy for all of your keyfobs and cell phones.

I'm assuming most Rivian dog owners are getting the R1S instead of the R1T?
R1T for me and my doggo. She's going in the cab (I the back floor were flat...). As long as they have doggo mode with a big "doggo is comfy" sign on the screen I should be happy.

Why are you kidding? I bet my pup would love that spot. :CWL:

As for the comment about dog owners getting the R1S, not me. I do plan on the R1T, but if there is no safe place for the pup, then R1S will be the fallback. If it's just me and the dog, then she will be crated. If my wife is with me, the pup can stay on the floorboard.

Growing up I had a couple of Australian shepherds. Having a Suburban with leather seats was absolutely wonderful. Plenty of space for people, dogs, cargo, and easy to clean up afterward.

I would recommend to buy dog accessories online like a doggie lounge. And use it in a wagon/SUV in the cargo area with a blanket on top. That is a clean and convenient way to drive your dog when your seats are taken up by people.
