Hi all. I'm getting ready to run 240 to the garage. Is the general consensus to use a 60 amp breaker in order to run 48 amps if possible, otherwise 50 amp breaker service in order to charge with 40 amps? Any particular electricians people would recommend in Superior area (Boulder/Louisville/Broomfield)? Thanks!

Did mine recently. When it was run, I was expecting to use a welder so ran wiring and breaker for 50 amps - thought that would be enough. Then the truck arrived and I realized, although I could change the breaker to 60 amp, I would have to tear the drywall out and change the wiring in order to run full 48 amps on 60 amp breaker. I decided to stay with 50 amp breaker and run 40 amps charging. Works okay (~20 miles per hour added) but wish I had done the wiring right in the first place.

Bottomline: Run it at max you think you'll need - in this case 60 amp all the way to get full 48 on charger. Just my $.02.

Amazon looks to be preparing for a very large electric delivery van fleet delivery very soon up at the warehouse off of I 25 in Westminster. There’s got to be 100 chargers here that are going in.

Anyone have details on the service center location in Colorado Springs? Looks like it will be on the south side of town near the Airport.

The service center is only about 10 minutes from my office on the way home so I drove by this evening and not only is my R1T sitting there (can’t WAIT) by I’ve never seen so many trucks and SUVs in their parking lot there had to be more than 100 different vehicles sitting in the staging area!! I’m pretty sure the train has arrived.
