Had my Demo Drive on Saturday. What an epic feeling (have only driven an Model Y Dual Motor previously) to sit in one and drive it around for 45 mins. Was hoping for more time but they were busy with other demo drives and had to limit the time (as expected). Walked around the R1T aplenty, got good launches, and drove around the Arsenal.

Hoping for the new delivery estimates mean something when we receive them, because I'm ready for this EV life. That said, I'd be happy to receive mine in "first half of 2023" with many more OTA updates after reading a bunch of interesting issues folks have experienced.

Something I was surprised about on Saturday: there were ZERO R1T's in LA Silver in the lot. There must have been 40-50 there, but none in LA Silver (my selected color). Oh well. Would've been great to see one...

Spoke to Xcel and I can claim the $500 once I have the physical charger at my house and can provide them with the charger serial number. you get an additional $50 annual bill credit for signing up to off-peak charging.

• After enrolling, you will receive an email from Xcel Energy and will be given a code to input in your charger’s app.
• You will be prompted to fill in information including your first and last name, charger serial number, your electric meter and service number. The charger serial number is a 12-digit number. This can be found on the charger or its original packaging. Please contact us at [email protected] so that we can provide you with your electric meter number and service number.

I wish I had seen this post about Xcel rebate programs before I purchased and installed the Rivian wall charger. I have pressed both Xcel Energy and Rivian about getting the Rivian wall charger approved for these rebate programs, but for now it appears that the only avenue to get the rebates is to use the ChargePoint charger. Bummer. Everyone should pressure both Xcel and Rivian to cooperate since the Rivian charger is wifi enabled and, presumably, programmable for the required off-peak charging.

Yes, Xcel has a good program. Unfortunately for me, I'm on a rural co-op here in Colorado that hasn't seen the EV "light" yet.

Yea, it doesn’t look like United Power has any rebates either. At least I couldn’t find any.

Anyone here with an early delivery receive their plates and title yet from the state? I have about a week left on my temp tag and can't seem to get an update from my guide on status.

I’m in the same boat as you. Haven’t received an answer on timing and will expire in a week. Believe there is a grace period of 30 days after expiration…

Just an FYI, I had similar issues when I got my MINI and title paperwork wasn't ready for almost 6 months after purchase. What I should've realized and didn't at the time was that you'll get hit with the Ownership Tax back to the purchase date. So when I did the full registration I got hit with fees for 1.5 years instead of just 1 year.

I'm just curious...is the ChargePoint charger better than the Rivian one? Are they comparable? I'm a couple months away now and was planning on using the Rivian one, but for a $500 rebate, might be worth going ChargePoint route. I also have solar, so dont know how that plays into it.

I ordered the ChargePoint Home Flex 14-50 plug direct, which was much cheaper than Amazon but took a few weeks to come in. I had an electrician come out and directly wired it on an existing 40amp circuit. It seems to be working well but I've only had the truck for a few days. I'm only getting around 12 miles per hour but it's good enough. The app shows charging activity and price per charge, if you enter utility price /kWh. Let me know if you have any questions.

I have CORE Electric which doesn't offer any rebates/discounts for peak or anything like that.

Well, a couple days after I complained about not hearing anything on title & registration from the State I received my Title in the mail yesterday. YEA Rivian! They didn't have the correct purchase date on the title, but close enough I guess. Feeling lucky now, come on license plates!

The Colorado Rockies are busy playing baseball. They won’t get to making plates again until Sept.
