Hello,

I do not know if anyone can help to understand the knocks I have only when I accelerate and decelerate (mostly pronounced when driving slow, but exist at any speed). I have attached the video with the sound:

The service center will know. This is a common issue.

There are several threads about this. A continuing problem.
Thank you,

I just try to understand if it is half shafts (and there is no real solution), suspension or something else. I do not want to force SC to start replacing parts if the outcome will be the same. By doing this they probably will break my alignment (that took them 3 times but they finally nailed it).

The chirps and hard clunks are Fixable.

Replace jounce lines removes squeaks
Replace dampers removes hard clunks

There's no fix for the half-shafts beyond greasing the splines. It will give you 3000 miles of reduced sound.

The dampers and jounce lines have new parts.

Just to update the team - I just went to Austin SC (they are always super), talked to the mechanic, we took other QM for a test - same (or almost) knocks exist as well when you accelerate/decelerate. He basically said - look, we can improve it a bit, but it is what it is. This is a design flaw, and while functionally it will work fine, the noise should not be there for a 90k car.

So I just decided to close my ears on this and continue to use R1T.

P.S
I think I will get back to the BMW brand going forward - just drove iX - and BMW did amazing work, no knocks, or any other sound other than a pleasant driving experience :) 2023 goes for 60k already ...

I can modulate it away by feathering the accelerator, but yeah, same story I have received from the Austin SC. It is what it is, greasing quiets it for 100 miles, and back to status quo. Did you happen to drive a dual motor to see if it is similar?

No, I did not try dual - my miss. Next time I am there I will ask them.
