Thanks, appreciate the responses. It all makes sense but I was just being overly cautious. I think I'm damaged from hitting the emergency brake instead of the windshield wiper fluid one day like a momo!
Haha I've done that too but it's ok and a intended feature to use the electric brake as a backup if the hydraulic ones fail just like a ice car. Hydraulic master cylinders have two separate circuits. One for the front and one for the back that are independent. A cable or electric parking brake serves as a backup to that system. EVs have an additional brake system that is Regen.

You can shift into neutral and coast in the rivian while driving too, then shift back to drive no harm.

I was under the impression that some Quad owners had rear half shafts issues that were related to switching to conserve mode while driving ? Is it still a potential issue ?
