Haha I've done that too but it's ok and a intended feature to use the electric brake as a backup if the hydraulic ones fail just like a ice car. Hydraulic master cylinders have two separate circuits. One for the front and one for the back that are independent. A cable or electric parking brake serves as a backup to that system. EVs have an additional brake system that is Regen.Thanks, appreciate the responses. It all makes sense but I was just being overly cautious. I think I'm damaged from hitting the emergency brake instead of the windshield wiper fluid one day like a momo!
You can shift into neutral and coast in the rivian while driving too, then shift back to drive no harm.
