I took my R1T to the self-service car wash over the weekend. The one with the high-pressure wand. I decided to turn on car wash mode so that the charge door wasn't triggered while I was washing.

After finishing my car wash, I realized that the door handles were unresponsive. I tried to wake them up using the app, as well as the physical key fob to no avail.

Luckily my wife was in the car and able to open the door, but I am wondering how I would have gotten back into the car if I was by myself?

Anybody experienced this?

When car wash mode is enabled, you simply push in the forward facing side of the door handle until the rear facing side of the handle pivots outward.

Then pull the handle to open the door.

Ah! I didn't realize you could force the handles by pushing them.

Car was mode is for the drive through car washes. If you're washing it yourself from the exterior, just lock the vehicle and the charge port door will not open.
