I don’t even know what this means? Are you calling me a boomer because I said that interior lighting is a necessity in an expensive car? How does that equate to a boomer? Do you even know what boomer means?
The nicest and most expensive cars in the world have comprehensive RGB ambient lighting. It is a must in a modern car. This update is long overdue for Rivian. The interior lighting was not competitive at the price point.
This is my concern with gen 2 cars. All of the parts revamps and cost cutting could lead to reliability issues. Gen 1 was engineered over many years, whereas all the modifications to gen 2 seem to have been done very quickly. Gen 1 cars are massively over engineered and overall I think that’s a...
Lack of RGB is the worst thing about the interior for a car at this price point. Hopefully they aren't equipping new trucks with white only. The cost savings would be extremely minimal.
Just did the update. No Christmas mode or easter eggs. Super lame Rivian. Just turn on the RGB interior lights at the very least and let us do what we want. There is no good reason to have RGB deactivated unless they plan to sell it later, which would be a terrible mistake.
Anybody had their shake fixed by Rivian yet? The Denver service center was unable to fix mine. I also have the tock/clunk which sounds like driveline slack anytime I accelerate and/or use regen, especially at slow speeds. I am certain the issues are related. They REALLY need to have a fix for...
I took my R1T to the self-service car wash over the weekend. The one with the high-pressure wand. I decided to turn on car wash mode so that the charge door wasn't triggered while I was washing.
After finishing my car wash, I realized that the door handles were unresponsive. I tried to wake...
Hmm, I have the 22" and still have the shake. If I had to make a long-term prediction, I would say this mystery will never be solved. I don't think the root cause is tires or wheels or balancing. I think it is something much less obvious and a potential design flaw in the truck. Jeeps have had...
Mine was shaking at 65+ and pulling to the right. Service center found the drive side rear wheel out of balance by 50 grams. The shaking is improved, but still there. You could balance an egg on my BMW X5 steering wheel at 65 mph. Something still isn't right with the Rivian. It definitely gets...
I also have the tock. It makes the car sound really clunky in stop and go traffic and it happens every time you accelerate or use regen. It is not the same noise as the auto hold engaging and disengaging. The auto hold noise is normal. This tock happens up to maybe 40 mph.
My truck was in the...
My truck was perfectly level prior to 2022.27.2 - I did the update tonight and now the passenger side front is 1/2-5/8" higher than the driver side. Not happy. I am wondering if people who were previously level are now experiencing an issue with the passenger front height?
Installed the update tonight and after the first ride height change that I did, the front passenger side was sitting about half in higher in all modes than the driver side. Did a hard reboot and it hasn't resolved. Anybody else? The half inch is really noticeable. Truck was perfectly level at...
Garage door opener works upon breaking into the car.
I was able to trigger a visual alarm by sitting on the floor, having wife lock doors from outside with fob, and waiting until the gear guard animation played on the screen.
Then I opened the door and the exterior lights started flashing, but...
