I noticed this for the first time just two days ago. I've had my R1T for more than two years, and the app just started doing this.
I suspect it's just a glitch in the app from the latest update, which was only about two weeks ago.
For me, if I change the charge limit in the app, it doesn't look like it worked but it really DOES change the limit - you can see that inside the car, which shows the new limit, and you can see that when you charge, because it really does stop at the new limit not the old one. The app still shows the old limit, but I think it just never got the memo that it needs to display a new number.
FWIW the app did eventually start to show the new limit, but it was hours later. And I can't reproduce that behavior today, so perhaps it was just a temporary problem with the cloud delivering the updated number.
I had this happen to my '22 R1T. The fix was to remove my PAK in the app and then "redo" it. Since doing that it's not happened again. Rivian service suggested this would fix it.
