Installing an EV charger revealed some pretty big electrical issues we had at this old house. Nothing like pulling 48A for 8 hours straight to surface some issues. I’ll post about all that separately if anyone is interested.

today, to (hopefully) celebrate the end of all the bs, I repainted, and relabeled the front cover. Added a bit of bling too ?

I feel you! Getting ghosted by my electrician so I just went ahead and did it myself. Sub-panel off a sub-panel. Went with 50amp, 6-3 wire direct into charger. I'd thought about installing a NEMA 14-50 and plug in cord to charger to make it more portable but this was easier. First charge at 60% SOC, yielded around 19miles hour. I'm at 40amp on the dipswitch.

You might be able to free up some space if you dropped the oven and cooked your dinners with the welder.

Nothing quite adds zesty flavor in the way that tigbeque does.

That’s the most organized panel I have ever seen.

Thanks! It took like 10 hours to find out which breaker was for what. The rest only took two hours. The last owner had done a really shitty job of it.
