Apple Music - randomly stops

Anyone else experiencing Apple Music randomly stop playing mid-song? It's as if the Play/Pause button has been hit, but I haven't touched the halo wheels or the screen.

When this happens to me there is no apparent connection issue. I'm in areas with strong cell coverage.
Hitting play will resume the song from the beginning.

This is on 2026.24. 41

Our vehicle does the same and has been doing so for a long time. It resumes by hitting play again. I've always attributed to signal loss. The song buffer is exhausted and no new feed to continue; hence, stops.

So maybe its not a signal loss and I should be more annoyed about this...

Pretty annoying.

Happens to my 2025 R1T also. Went away after the last update, but is now back again in its annoying glory. Not related to loss of signal.

Been happening to me for a long time, too. Always attributed it to buffer running out. Happens virtually every time I start up within first minute or two of a drive. Feel like it occasionally happens after that but not very often.

Pretty annoying.

Happens to me quite a lot as well. It’s one of the only “issues” I’ve had with the R2. Doesn’t seem to be a signal / connection loss either.

It happens on mine. It happens with the FM radio. It happens with Sirus/XM. All extremely annoying.

Yes, this happens on my 2022 R1T also. It started a couple of updates ago if I recall correctly. It is annoying but recoverable by hitting play again.

I am still on 2026.23.0 and it happens to me. I bet it is fixed in the next update.

Happening to me a lot recently too. I have the setting that downgrades the quality set to off so I was wondering if it was related to that… but i found the dynamic quality setting to be a little annoying back when i tried it too so I turned it off.

As an aside, this happens pretty often when I get in my Cybertruck with Apple Music (not sure of other services). Music starts (on wifi) and when I get just down the street out out of range the music stops. I have to hit back to start the track over or forward to start the next track.
