Over 60 it doesn't pull like it does from 0-60 mph. The 0-100 time on CB is the same as that R2 run, which means the 60-100 for CB is 4.4 while 60-100 for R2 is only 3.4.
I don't expect it to be anywhere near the same feeling for 0-60. But if it's quicker than our old MYP that's great.
I'm actually more excited about the better top end (50+) acceleration than the 0-60 launch that I rarely get to use. Flooring it to pass on the highway happens more often than flowing it from a stop. I currently drive a Cyberbeast, which is VERY quick to 60 but beyond that does not feel like it...
All of the unsupervised cars have bumper cameras (and I don't think any without the bumper camera will ever be unsupervised).
There is still a massive line spot beside each front fender though, and in certain sharp angles turns (which are more frequent in the mountains where I live) I notice...
I was a pre safety score FSD tester in my Model 3. When we got the scoring system in wifeās Y we could not get a high enough score to get FSD beta no matter how hard we tried. Just going around curves dinged us.
Tesla was careful with wording on the website and left all the nonsense hyping to Elon which seemed to have worked as far as no big lawsuits over what hardware 2 and 3 cannot do still. Elon made all kind of claims while the site was pretty vague about details.
Same thing happened with my 2009 Honda Fit. Of course later I think other tires were made that size but the first new tires I had to buy were OEM. I donāt understand why manufacturers do this.
You have to pay attention. L3 and L4 do not require attention. Itās that simple. Cybercab and the Robotaxi Ys are Level 4. Customer cars still require attention aka Level 2.
Reminder that lidar here is used for ground truth validation, not for driving like Waymo does. Tesla uses lidar for ground truth validation as well, but they have to send a fleet of specially equipped cars to each area they want to expand driverless robotaxis to validate before launch. The...
FSD is great, but it's DEFINITELY L2 still. I just had to take over yesterday for a critical issue. L3 means you don't have to pay attention but still required to be in the seat to take over if needed. L4 means you don't even have to be in the car. Cybercabs are L4, as no driver is required...
Wife has a 2025 Y and had a 2021 Y Performance before that. Great cars. But they're just that, cars. Tall cars, but cars nonetheless. YL is just a little bit longer tall car.
Not a current Rivian owner, reserved about 30 minutes into the unveiling.
I wonder if the alleged October end date for Launch edition means RAP1+lidar follows right after. I canāt imagine buying one without the new hardware in a month or two gap where you donāt get all the included LE stuff.
my early 2018 Model 3 caused me about 10 trips to the service center (2.5 hours away)
my 2019 Model 3 and wife's 2021 Model Y each had once visit in 4 years each.
my Cybertruck has been to service twice in 18 months and currently cannot charge at home due to PCS failure. It happened over a month...
Most of this is very nitpicky and odd to cancel over. The only one I will address is aftermarket accessories. The reason there aren't many is because R1S/R1T are low volume cars. R2 will have a ton of aftermarket accessories because that's a much larger addressable market for the makers of those...
