Try this in a Model S Plaid. While I've driven and owned a number of sports cars and sporty SUV's nothing prepares you for that kind of thrust. Best one-word description I can come up with is "violent". Not in a harmful way, just *BAM*

Umm I ride in sport mode and feed my machine full throttle at least once every time I'm in it. I might not go over the posted limit too much but I sure get there quick.

Funny. I did this twice today alone! Do it almost ever time i have someone new in the R1T...right after i tell them to put their head against the headrest! Best 3 seconds of their lives!
I think I am going to do that when I get someone in the truck new. I work with a guy that has the F-150 Lightning. He loves his Lightning but says the R1T is nice. I wonder how the Lightnin is off the line?

They're both stupid fast. The Rivian is slightly more stupider. :)

I might just do that when I am at my parents in a couple of weeks.

What is this "snow" you speak of? I am in CommieFornia and where we live we might get anywhere from a 1/2" to a few inches (we are at the 1400' mark). I am glad Rivian makes a remarkable vehicle for everyone's taste..... off-roader, drag racer, rock crawler, cruiser......this is truly a "1 size fits all" vehicle.
drive over Donner between December and April.

more snow than you’ll ever want

We are only at about 3,500k on the tires. We will be rotating at probably 6k or 8k.....we don't know, I might start using All Purpose on my daily drive since I can charge for free at work.
Not sure what the purpose is of driving in Conserve mode, unless one absolutely has to, to get to the next charger. If distance is not a concern and electricity is dirt cheap (or, even free), why accelerate the tire wear?

This. Go pedal and right foot should control the speed, not the modes. Modes have their use, but conserve kills tires and is only for emergencies.

I am not a lead foot and don't swerve in and out of traffic. I usually stick about 5mph over the posted speed limit.

I knew getting the R1T would be a rocket on wheels. We have had our R1T for about 3 months now and love it. For all that time we have been driving 90% of the time in CONSERVE mode since I drive a long distance to work.

Yesterday on the way home I stopped by my parent's house to say hi. My son lives with them and he wanted to take a drive in the R1T. So, I put it in All-Purpose mode and drove down the country road.....I mean......straight for miles, no hills, no dips, no houses......straight and no traffic. I know this road like the back of my hand seeing that I have been down it thousands of times.

I nailed the pedal and WOW....it threw me back into the seat and I literally felt the G-Force and it was like getting on a rollercoaster....it actually scared me for a few seconds.

I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you are on a drag strip or there is a pretty much-abandoned road. I won't be doing it again....I am 1 and done and I am happy driving my 70mph.
My wife calls it airplane mode.

Very good point. I think for my everyday drive (and to work) I will do all-purpose mode since I can charge for free at work. I blame my wife for making me this way.......LOLOL

I would not be driving in conserve mode unless you are on the highway or will be needing front tires very soon.

Ford VS Ferrari when Mr. Shelby takes Ford for a ride in the GT40. Dude was crying by the end of the ride.
