We just returned from a 3 night trip to Fort Bragg. I pulled my camping trailer that is just a Maggiolina rooftop tent mounted on a jeep trailer. Wherever we camp, I always have people stopping by to ask about it. It is a production prototype from a small company that unfortunately didn't launch. It is very convenient, because I can leave most of my camping gear stored in the trailer between trips.
My consumption for the entire trip was 256Kwh over 499 miles. I probably drove 25 of those miles without the trailer. The energy usage included 3 days of camp kitchen duty and occasional hot spot use. We really enjoyed the switchover from propane to electric cooking.
California has a 55mph speed limit for towing, so I didn't want to push it too much. The consumption graph in the truck showed 2.1 miles/Kwh at 60mph and 2.0 at 65. The towing screen estimates the trailer at 1000 pounds.
