Stop Sale on all Canadian R1 Deliveries due to Software Issue

CRITICAL RIVIAN NOTICE - Hi Jim, Guide Lead Jake here, and I'm afraid I have some most unfortunate news this evening. At just 7pmEST, our head office sent us an urgent notice that a software related issue has been identified for all Canadian vehicles that makes them currently undeliverable, and we’re forced to cancel all of tomorrow the 7th delivery appointments.

An official notice from HQ is coming on this, called a Service Hold.. but I'm reaching out now via SMS to notify as soon as possible.

Please await further advisement as we’ll get this to you as soon as we have it, but as of now my leadership has instructed me to cancel all delivery appointments with no rescheduled date able to be determined at this time.. so you’ll see this email.

I haven’t received anything yet. They are probably scrambling to get a communication out. That being said, I have a service appointment scheduled for Monday morning and plan to inquire at that time. I will pass on any news if a communication hasn’t been sent out to the masses before then.

Sounds definitely some regulation compliance issue. Nothing to do with the vehicle drivability or safety.

Most likely there will be a SW patch/update to address the issue.

This doesn’t make a lot of sense. They already serviced British Columbia which last I checked was in Canada. Jim your a pre order sale right? I’d be curious if they need your vehicle for someone paying 150K? Would help a critical Q1 result.
