Off-roading on Drummond Island, Michigan with R1T + Bronco

Just thought I'd post some pics and brag how well the R1T (aka Electric Redbeard) did wheeling around Drummond Island a few weeks back. With 22"s on it handled the mud and rocks. Yeah so I have a few scuffs on the wheels now and a few more scratches, but oh well. I didn't tackle the Steps at Marblehead, but maybe next time with an appropriate Wheel and Tire set. I even had to pull out my buddy in his Bronco Badlands Edition (he even admits that the R1T is legit now).

Rock Crawl Mode was amazing and Rally Mode along the dirt roads was way too much fun.

I love this truck and hope they keep making it better and better!

Been thinking about going up there for a weekend, but the charging situation seemed pretty dire. Did you charge anywhere besides Mackinaw city?

The RAN charger in MAC City is great. I charged there on way, and way back, then just used Travel Charger overnight at our AirBnb to 'top off' a bit (an added ~10% or so each night). Got me 2 days of tooling around the island, thought yes having a Level 2 on the island would have been preferred.

Wow, cool. Yeah, it seems like Drummond Island is off the beaten path a bit. That's where having a large battery pack comes in handy. Also, a 120V outlet can still be pretty nice given enough time when out on the edges of Michigan.
