2025.14 Software Update is Released

If anyone from Rivian is reading this thread... PLEASE add an option in the App to manually pre-condition the battery or at least make this automatically whenever we defrost the cabin at MAX.

From someone who actually lives in cold weather.

If you are serious about being heard: go to your Rivian mobile app, scroll down to "share feedback". Otherwise, you're just shouting into the wind.

Update caused my R1S to forget a lot of settings:

had to turn navigation voice off
had to change navigation display settings back the way I like them
had to turn display "auto day/night" back on

And likely a few other things. I haven't had this happen with previous updates.

Additionally, I don't notice any increased responsiveness of the infotainment. Still takes 2-3 seconds for the HVAC to shows up and 2+ seconds switching between navigation and vehicle info and HVAC. Upon successive changes throughout the drive, it gets faster but the first time you open HVAC per drive, it still takes 2-3 seconds.

I don’t think so, I think it is pretty random.

Day 1 (yesterday) is usually a smaller push, maybe 10% of vehicles. If that is clean they start larger pushes. I’ve been everywhere between day 1 and day 9 on my G1.

Usually I see it on day 1, 2, or 3.

If yours is gen 1, camera res is hardware. Will never be addressed by OTA. And hardware retrofit has less chance than you landing a date with Lauren Holly.

Yup I pretty much eluded to the camera limitations. And while Holly might still be an attractive women, I'm good missing out on that chance since she's almost 15 yrs my senior.

Yep, I updated this evening and also lost a lot of settings - I'm guessing due to the changes related to "smarter driver profiles".

Other notable items that were reset and worth a mention are Nav saved destinations, HVAC vent presets, miles since tire rotation and total miles on tires, stereo EQ settings - this one may not be so easy to reset from memory so folks make sure you take a picture of your current settings before proceeding with this update (thankfully I had done that long ago in anticipation of just this scenario).

2025.14.01 just finished installing. The climate still lagged a little on first press but otherwise seems significantly improved (Gen 1 R1T).

All UI lag initially after each OTA. It shouldn't lag once cached. After each OTA, I tend to go through all frequently used screens for this exact reason.

2025.14.01 applied lemme go drive and see what “improved”, errh was changed.

Updated 4 hours ago. Just got in my car. Center screen is completely unresponsive… soft reset in progress…

Ok after soft reset. Everything is snapper.
But WiFi toggle just shows as “an error occurred. Please try again later”

After hard reset, wifi is working again

Installed here without issue. A bit snappier overall.

I also feel like the so-called suspension improvements from last update have finally been applied. It might be my imagination, but it feels less jostled by road undulations, and more 'glide' like overall.

Anybody who had gear guard issues get the update yet? I know they fixed the Alexa volume issue but didn't see mention of gear guard recordings showing an error being solved. Fingers crossed!

Mine downloaded around 7pm yesterday evening. Have not driven it yet, though. I agree with everyone above hoping that UI lag improves...
