We need a coast mode for winter driving!
I really enjoyed the options for regenerative braking in my old Polestar 2: none (coast), low, and regular. I think it should be standard to have the option and not just for driving in snow and ice.

Really got used to coasting in the E-Tron and our Taycan; way less jerky for passengers and no need to keep foot mated to the accelerator, able to lift-off acceleration without making passengers sick.

Some love max regenerative one-pedal driving, some do not; why not provide options?

There are options. I see three levels of regen in all-purpose. And "high" isn't necessarily the same as "high" in snow mode. Different companies approach software differently.

Anyone else have WiFi hot spot and data break after this update?

Apple Music, Spotify, etc. don’t work anymore. Even after a hard reset.

I also just realized the hotspot isn’t working either.

Both Apple Music and Sirius are hot messes for me after the latest update, even with a soft reset. This is getting so frustrating.

Unless they just allowed "coast" with this update, there is no option to simply coast on my R1T.

Every single EV owner should know this: Reset and Retest. When encountering software glitches always try a reset and see if the anomaly is resolved. If not, then you know the immediate next step is to engage Support, either through desktop or your mobile app, which may lead to a service request... and the support rep will walk you through all that.

Daily, on various forums, I sense a common reluctance to engage with Support. Why?? Support and Warranty are both services you paid for and have every right to exercise and utilize. Choosing instead to engage random strangers who do not have visibility of your vehicle data logs or proprietary troubleshooting instructions... It's just not productive. Plus, engaging Support elevates their awareness of bugs. It helps Rivian write better software, which is ultimately good for everyone. Unlike legacy auto, this isn't a one-way relationship. Rivian customers and Rivian are in it, together.
Did all of this before posting and have already had calls with a service rep. Next step is to bring in for service. I don’t want to drive to a service center for an appointment if many others are having the same issue after the last update, which is most likely why this is happening. Would rather have input from other owners before wasting hours of my time (and service center time when they could be working on pressing matters).

I've had more issues with this update than any since the infotainment bricking a year ago. Gear Guard has been unreliable to the point of needing a soft reset to make it work again a few days ago. Just now the ultrasonic sensors and possible side-looking radars went non-functional with the "Off" logo showing in the driver display. A soft reset and sleep cycles did not bring them back. Tried a hard reset and it appears that they're working again.

Honestly, since last winter it does seem that all levels of regen behave very differently in Snow mode than All-Purpose. I can use regen on High in Snow mode now and at least on Blizzak LT winter tires I haven't had the wheels lockup, where in AP and regen on High it will on a slick surface.

In my gen1 it has always been in the lower tray. It's the drive cam incident flagging icon that is at the top and remains there.

Just full charge, and let your battery cold soak after. Then you get the no regen coast upon liftoff mode ;)

Good to know.

Also for anyone potentially having issues getting up a steep snow covered road (logging road too) Soft Sand mode is a good way to stop the ESP from limiting power to the wheels when they slip or it detects a slip, and allow you just put the power down on all 4 wheels.

Came in handy a month ago while I was off road in some deep snow trying to up and around a hair pin corner. Snow mode, and nearly every off road mode, would limit wheel power enough to stop my forward movement and then couldn't progress further due to the traction control testing each wheel rather than just giving me more power to overcome it.

Update somehow broke my profiles. Car used to have the ability to tell whether it was me or my wife in the driver seat, now it can’t. Also sets the music to blast at level 15 on start instead of last volume setting and resets the vents every single time I get in. Infuriating.

Reverse now feels good. I remember how sketchy it felt 2.5 years ago. Almost had my first wreck in a parking lot with the initial reverse.
