  1. Ceramic tint the windshield?

Yes like others said 70% is perfect on the windshield.
  2. Sport Mode vs. AT Mode efficiency?

You might get slightly better efficiency but not more than a few percent and the ride quality is terrible and there will be much more negative camber in low or lowest so the inner part of the tires will wear much quicker. All purpose and normal height for everyday use.
  3. Any recommendations on 22" Tire Replacement

Not me but Iā€™m at 2.27 mi/kwh now since installing AT. Iā€™m at 2.32 lifetime. This is a little skewed since weather has been good for efficiency for the majority of miles. Before winter I was at 2.42 so I think a 7% hit for AT is still about right. If you need every last mile get the HT otherwise...
  4. Any recommendations on 22" Tire Replacement

Continental terrain contact HT in 275/50/22 is the tire to get, or AT if you want all terrain. I went with the AT and itā€™s great so far. Smoother ride and still handles well. About a 7% efficiency drop vs stock so not bad with an AT tire. HT should be similar efficiency to stock.
  5. 3rd Row Access for R1S with Rear Facing Car Seat?

Right, R1S doesnā€™t tilt like the expedition it just has the top fold and bottom slide using the button on the seat. The seat can still be slid forward (lever under the seat) without the fold and thereā€™s enough room for kids to get to the third row without the fold. I think some infant bases...
  6. 22” Continental Terrain Contact A/T tires resulted in a negligible INCREASE in efficiency (2.07 mi/kwh) compared to OEM Pirellis (2.04 mi/kwh)

Stock 22ā€ road tires was 2.3. I was trying to say these Continental 22ā€ all terrain are a little better than stock 20ā€ all terrain which is a 10% or so reduction from 22ā€ road tires.
  7. 22” Continental Terrain Contact A/T tires resulted in a negligible INCREASE in efficiency (2.07 mi/kwh) compared to OEM Pirellis (2.04 mi/kwh)

Short efficiency update after a few hundred miles, Iā€™m getting 2.14 mi/kwh. Was getting 2.30 with stock tires. I will track for longer and update but seems like these are a little better than stock 20ā€.
  8. 22” Continental Terrain Contact A/T tires resulted in a negligible INCREASE in efficiency (2.07 mi/kwh) compared to OEM Pirellis (2.04 mi/kwh)

No issue with tirebuyer.com and local independent shop that specializes in track vehicles, autocross etc. They even had road force balancing. T is fine, 118 mph and Rivian top speed is 112 mph so just find somewhere else.
  9. 3rd Row Access for R1S with Rear Facing Car Seat?

That would be interesting, like an old school minivan.
  10. 3rd Row Access for R1S with Rear Facing Car Seat?

I have 4 kids 5 and under and the R1S works great! Itā€™s not quite as roomy as our telluride and lack of captains chairs is a downside but itā€™s completely doable. My setup is below. 3rd row: Driver: 5 1/2 year old in booster. Passenger: 4 year old in forward facing car seat (she can buckle...
  11. Need advice for family road trip IL to FL

We were considering St Louis to Destin last summer with my wife and 3 young kids (5 and under) but took my parents minivan instead and glad we did. Nashville specifically had terrible reviews for CCS chargers. Also there are stretches where youā€™ll be able to drive 80+ mph and that will kill...
  12. 22” Continental Terrain Contact A/T tires resulted in a negligible INCREASE in efficiency (2.07 mi/kwh) compared to OEM Pirellis (2.04 mi/kwh)

Yes, itā€™s a more comfortable ride than Pirelli 22ā€ stock tires and range seems to be on par with the 20ā€ all terrains. Got 2.0 mi/kwh at 70 mph on a 50 mile trip but at 40 degrees. Hereā€™s a pic with tire shine.
  13. Missouri Sold: SOLD 3 Stock Pirelli 22” Tires 275/50/22 - $100 each - St. Louis MO

$100 each - I have 3 stock 22ā€ tires available with about 6,500 miles on them. 2 have 8/32 of tread left, and 1 has 6.5/32. They are in good shape and evenly worn across the tread. One was damaged beyond repair (sidewall bead is damaged) so I replaced all 4 with Continental Terraincontact A/T.
  14. ‘Moderate’ Ride is the R1S’ Goldilocks

I agree, best update yet! Itā€™s the perfect balance and not at all bouncy or unsettled like soft was before.
  15. 22” Continental Terrain Contact A/T tires resulted in a negligible INCREASE in efficiency (2.07 mi/kwh) compared to OEM Pirellis (2.04 mi/kwh)

I have mine ordered! Should be installed this week. Tirebuyer code honey10 for 10% off. $1,355 all in with tax and install. I had damage on one of the stock tires so went with replacing all!
  16. 289 full range on 22s in all purpose vs 303 online.

On the charge screen you can reset the calculation. It specifically says range based in driving history. Mine shows 292 miles on AP, 321 on conserve. Whatā€™s interesting is at 50% it will show 151 miles AP and 165 miles conserve so the math doesnā€™t work out. Really the only way to know capacity...
  17. Standard and Standard+ battery packs introduced; R1T and R1S base prices dropped (2/8/24)

Iā€™d be surprised if an LFP pack has the ability to put out the power needed for dual performance. It could be NMC with less modules. If the standard+ is LFP that is without a doubt the one to go for. Model Y dual motor is basically $40k after tax credit, so this is way more expensive.
  18. Standard and Standard+ battery packs introduced; R1T and R1S base prices dropped (2/8/24)

Base price is $3k cheaper. The R1S standard was set for $78k, now itā€™s $75k. Standard plus is a great option now.
