No, I don't want the increased phantom drain and nothing else got me excited about this update.
Though .31 adds three fan modes to the Auto HVAC so that may get me excited.
My SoC hasn’t changed since I parked yesterday afternoon, so… ?

I wonder who wants a fan speed higher than what it needs to be to maintain temp in cabin?
Someone who is very sweaty but doesn't want to be clammy.

True....it will move more air....at a higher temp....so makes sense.

Edit....actually more air at a higher temp.

People who simply like more air movement around them in a vehicle.
People who are trying to compensate for the poor vent placement and limited vent aiming by keeping the air moving.

True too. Maybe this new arrangement makes some sense. I am hoping the fan speed still does actually adjust some as needed and we aren't simply picking one of 3 fan speeds however.

Exactly, this is my wife, she hates the AC and vents in the Rivian.

That’s my hope, too. Ideally it’ll still be auto, but with user preferred fan speed limitations available.

I guess we will know soon. Mine is at service for second update in a row....so maybe when I get it back hopefully later today or tomorrow I will also be up for the update.

People who don’t understand physics.
Seems like you need to read up on the principles of evaporation physics, aka wind chill.

But.....what provides more cooling? More air at a higher temp....or less air at a lower temp?

Applying the update on my R1T as I speak, thanks Rivian! Guess I'll find something else to complain about for today.

Which has nothing to do with cabin temperature, unless your upholstery is wet…

Obviously this is an absurd position in an absurd argument about what comes down purely to personal preference.

I dont see anything about fixing Dolby Atmos volume control for Apple Music. Volume at 1 too quiet, 2 too loud. Above 2 is teenager level
