Need to do some research for the specifics but I read somewhere if a product manufacturer mandates you use their version of a component and will not sell it to you they must repair/replace at their cost by federal law

Soooo when I called the rep she said I have to drive to Orlando (I am in Tampa ) and drop the car off and she insisted NO mobile appointment can be done for this issue. I emailed Orlando service manager ( I had his email way back when rivian was new thingi) he made his guy in Tampa call me and come next day and swap the batteries for FREE !

So I got the 12V battery service message this morning and I know many of you have had the same issue here are my questions
1 , I am 50k miles so my understanding the battery is not covered, how much Rivian will charge for replacing batteries ?
2, can I replace them myself ? and if so would that void any warranty ?

Both mine just failed last night @~25,200 miles after only 8 months.

Never mind. Found it under the Exceptions section of the new vehicle warranty guide: 3 year, 36k miles.
