I know this isnāt exactly what you were asking about, but figured Iād flag it as an option: I have a grizl-e duo. It is one EVSE that has 2 plugs and load shares between them. The obvious con is that you have 40 amps in total to share, but I havenāt had a problem with the power personally. The...
Can I put forth a counter proposal? Can ALL DCFC companies stop with these sites that have dedicated hardware with different charging speeds? They should be doing site wide load sharing/balancing like Tesla V3 sites have been doing for years.
There was a saying I heard somewhere: move power...
Quick update: I brought my truck in for service and received the standard response: āit is operating as designedā. I expressed my dismay at that diagnosis, but they just reiterated that it was just the noises that these vehiclesmake.
VERY disappointed that Rivian refuses to fix this obvious...
I reported this in the app and was told on the phone that this is a known software bug in the last release that will cause problems if you donāt have the rear vents on. I turned them on and my problem was solved.
Supposedly theyāre working in a fix so you donāt need to keep the rear vents on...
I thought I was the only one experiencing this!! I swear I drive very conservative in both speed and acceleration, live in a fairly flat area and yet I average around 2.0 mi/kWh on long trips in AP. The only thing for me is that average temps have been 30s-40s. But I feel like I hear reports of...
I canāt speak for your state, but in CT I wasnāt able to transfer my existing plates because my R1T exceeds the GVWR threshold that then requires me to get a ācomboā plate. Perhaps Wisconsin has something similar?
Great job! Glad to see options like these coming out! Considering itās a roll up, should I assume itās not ālockableā?
Am definitely curious about the waterproof & $$ aspects as well.
Well, thatās discouraging. I get that itās happening to a lot of vehicles, but that sound is a clear NVH (noise/vibration/harshness) and canāt possibly be an intended sound. It clearly is an issue and calling it ānormalā Is just really frustrating.
Unclear. There was a recent post mentioning a new fix. Unclear yet if this is being applied to everyone nor how long the fix lasts for. Iām bringing my truck in at the end of the month, so Iāll reply back with what happens. ?
So, the low speed tock looks like itās still a thing. I started this thread recently: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/is-the-ālow-speed-tockā-still-a-thing.12173/
Iām encouraged to hear that they might have a fix. Iām going in to the SC at the end of the month, so Iāll update if this...
Iām hoping to get the help of the community to figure out if some of the things Iām experiencing on my truck are problems with my specific truck or just the way things are. None of the items below have actually caused me any real issue at this point, but ?āāļø
The back of the charge port door...
Wow, this is great. However it makes me think Iām doing something very wrong or something is wrong with my truck. I seem to only get ~250 miles on a full charge at 40 degrees driving at 65-70mph. Not only that, but the nav consistently overestimates how much range Iāll have on arrival and...
Thanks for posting! Itās nice to see some options finally coming out!
For me personally, Iād strongly prefer a folding/rolling/accordion style to this. Having to slide the pieces in and out anytime I want quick access to the bed (besides the tailgate) seems less then ideal. Although, it sounds...
it is described in this thread. and in this one too. Probably others too. It is also mentioned by Kyle from out of spec (@OutofSpecKyle) on both his original review and on his own truck (here referenced as ādrive train slackā or a āDrive train rockingā). Also noted by Branden Flasch (@branden)...
I canāt say that I have had that particular noise. I have experienced the ātockā as I posted about here. I have, though had some strange pedal feel at times like @DaveA mentioned. Not sure if thatās related to your issue, though.
I hope you can figure it out/get it addressed!
So unfortunately after ~1500 miles I have developed the dreaded ātockā. My VIN in 138xx and was trying to figure out if this issues continues to be prevalent on new builds or whether Rivian has improved something over time and have made this a non issue.
i have an appointment for service, but...
i have had a similar experience as OP.
Navigation often matches google/Waze when there is no traffic and generally seems like a good route. When there is traffic I have found:
1) rivian nav usually has less accurate traffic info
2) does a worse job navigating with the traffic in mind (sending...
