  1. LA Silver R1T w/ XPEL Stealth PPF Wrap

Looks sick. The matte looks great in this color.
  2. What's reasonable?

It’s an $80 truck. I absolutely would not accept an already damaged truck. If they offered me a discount to accept the refurbished truck, I may consider it depending on the delay. But I for sure would not just take it with no incentive.
  3. My R1T Arrived!!! (& PPF?)

We do a lot of highway driving in So.Cal so I did the front number, headlights, fog lights, hood, mirrors, and rear bumper of my Tesla Model 3. Believe it or not, each has been put to work. I backed into something early on but the film took the damage and paint looks good. Hit some cones at...
  4. Rivian Gift - America the Beautiful National Parks Pass

Oh dang, that is a huge benefit. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Load-sharing home setup

When you double click the Tesla charger it unlocks the car and unlocks the charger. Truthfully I haven’t used too many non-Tesla chargers so I always fumble with trying to unlock the charger to be on my way. You would need to unlock the car manually, which is a minor inconvenience but it just...
  6. Load-sharing home setup

There is an easier way to charge two cars at once with one NEMA 14-50 connection. The first option is to buy a Grizzl-E duo charger that connects to one NEMA 14-50 plug and can auto switch to charge one vehicle and then the other. Or it can charge both at once (half capacity to each). It costs...
  7. CA - Registration Price Shock, Commerical?

Just like every visit to the DMV in CA, they never make it easy. In short, the reg says that a “commercial vehicle is a vehicle…maintained primarily for the transportation of property.” They then say that a “Motor Truck” is “is a motor vehicle…maintained primarily for the transportation of...
  8. CA - Registration Price Shock, Commerical?

Haha. It’s not an accident CA is the most populous state in the US. I agree it’s expensive but people keep piling in even with all of those extra fees.
  9. CA - Registration Price Shock, Commerical?

Not a mistake. As other have said, all trucks in CA are considered commercial because you technically can carry things in the bed for commercial purposes. I bought a tundra a few months back and it got a commercial plate.
  10. CA - Registration Price Shock, Commerical?

All trucks in CA are considered commercial. Bought a tundra a few months back and it registered as commercial. Then checked other friends and family with trucks and all are commercial as well. It’s default.
  11. Custom vinyl'd R1T Launch Edition I just spied…

Haha. I cringe if one of us commenting on here actually owns that truck and is crying on the inside reading all of these posts.
  12. Running boards / steps

Yeah. I was surprised that even driving the Rivian with the crossbars, which were designed by Rivian, had a pretty sizable impact on range. I want to say around 5% impact. I can imagine aftermarket running boards would really impact range.
  13. Amazon EDV Spotted in Bellevue

I would deliver Amazon packages if I got to drive that around all day.
  14. Would switching from R1T Adventure to R1S Adventure delay my delivery?

I placed my preorder for an R1S Adventure with large pack on September 28, 2021. My delivery window is “first half of 2023” which will probably be closer to June than January.
  15. Oh, What a Deal

I just added the all weather mats. Was going to eventually get them as I don’t like the look of the standard mats.
  16. 20 inch wheels with A/Ttires for highway driving

My tires last me 80,000+ miles. It’s a sedan so maybe you guys are talking about truck/SUVs?
