Everything is normal. If the battery isn't preconditioned it will take a bit to get to the sweet spot for charging, you will see the kW charge rate ramp up.
Then at about 70 it starts to slow down as you continue charging.
Typically you don't want to charge much past that unless you need it...
That's what the station looks like. There are numbers at each plug, that do not denote the pedastal.
Also note that since the street view image they have added a bunch of useless poles to prevent you from pulling through, and there is a pole that "protects" the area under the red canopy that...
The current stickers are very tiny and you have to know exactly what you're looking for.
Also wish they had giant numbers on them to coordinate in app, right noe it seems like a tiny id number on the screen, and the screens are hard to read in the sun.
Looks good. I had trouble telling the 150 from 350 at the location i was charging at.
That and the spots aren't designed for the R1T, my truck was sticking out into the lane a little, but that may be a walmart thing.
For me it wouldn't be day to day. But my place in northern wi loses power quite frequently. No power means no water and no heat. The pump is on a 20A breaker and I'm sure it has a huge inrush current. Boiler is probably the same.
The rivian sockets trip with a large inrush even if they can...
Oh one thing I noted when I finished my 2-3 days of charging, the suspension had let pretty much all the air out. When i started it said to wait until raised or i could damage the vehicle, and even unplugging i noticed it was essentially in "kneel" mode. Maybe after awhile it gives up...
like any of the fancy pieces holding it together to support the automatic telescoping and height adjustments. Pretty sure they aren't designed to repeatedly support the weight of a driver in a perpendicular direction to the column.
Granted "weight of a driver" varies from driver to driver.
Right, so pre update i was at 200w.
The strange thing is, at home in the garage I was getting the bad 120 charge rate. I wonder if 120v charging likes a cooler ambient temperature.
I was going to make a cut out in some plexiglass to pass my charger into the laundry room to use the 240, but...
Here is a pre patch charge session(120v). I was surprised at how well it did. Only a 200w draw for low voltage accessories.
I'm plugged in now after applying the update, I'll let you know how it differs. Can't imagine it getting much better though. (95xx vin, no phone proximity, no home...
They are misbehaving ads. You can report them to the admin and they report it to their ad service.
A Local college one used to constantly pop up and made the site unusable.
Sites are the issue, not hardware. This is probably why we see them in EV friendly CA & CO, easier to stand up a site.
Permitting and grid upgrades are the long pole in the tent.
And just to counter point, I got my plates in about a week. I guess them being in Illinois makes things easier.
However I'm rocking the temp plates for the full 90 days to avoid any No Front Plate stupidity.
3 is working as intended. For short people with small arms, I do not envy you. It has been that way since forever. This is not a short person friendly vehicle.
5a, they probably won't touch tonneau covers till the replacement, just a waste of parts and effort.
I have some weather strip...
