I had my first guide call on Thursday. After talking to her, I didn't have a good feeling about the OC timeline, so I switched to BM. She did say FE was already on the line. So who knows ?♂️
It sounds like unless you have been contacted by a Guide or received your prelim buyer's agreement, you're stuck with the price increase, and they will tell you what the increase is at some point in the future.
(I am LE preorder, no contact with Guide yet. March/April estimated date.)
That's what I kinda figured. My main concern will be finding some I trust to not mess it up, and I wasn't sure if taking it to someone else causes any warranty issues.
How does Tesla (and soon Rivian) handle simple things like tire rotation when I live 400 mi from the nearest service center? They can't charge enough money to make it worth sending out a tech.
Do we know who is providing the Driver+ hardware? Just spitballing, but I would guess they are only using the windshield camera for vehicle/pedestrian/roadway detection and relying on radar for detecting objects beside and behind the vehicle. Not to say the other cameras couldn't aid in the...
What's interesting is I have a fairly early March/April timeframe and an 11/3/19 reservation date. I live in a small town, and Normal is the closest service center, which is 400mi away. I'd consider that 'not close.'
The current 10/27 version of the manual removed references to the garage door integration, so it's not clear if it's included.

Mach E. I preordered mine a week after I reserved an R1T back in 2019 thinking Rivian might experience delays. Been driving the Mach E since Feb '21. Phone as a key and Ford's app are my main complaints, but it's fun to drive.
My Mach E is my first EV. I relied heavily on coasting in my previous vehicle, and was nervous about 1pedal driving. It only took me a few days to get pretty well accustomed to it.
