I'll keep an open mind, never say never, etc., but if that was Rivian's actual intent behind the messge then that e-mail was the worst written English language sentence of all time.Most likely, they mean you will be able to configure and place an order starting in June. When that order is fulfilled is a whole different question.
It literally says "In June, we'll let you know when you can expect to configure and order..." It absolutely does NOT say "In June, you can configure and order..." And although I know nothing about auto production, it certainly makes a certain amount of sense to me for Rivian to invite early reservations to configure early, and later reservations to configure later.
I guess we'll find out in June!
