Wishing these colors were available, not super excited with any of the available colors at launch other than the Launch Green but I am a Lidar waiter to that wont be available to me likely. The Gray is Nardo so its not Metallic like the Esker.

I would love an Orange color. Or a good blue like posted above. I'm thinking "Antelope Canyon Orange" would be great.

I recently saw an R1S in Borealis in our neighborhood.. while interesting it looked VERY dark, this was at 18:30, so 45 min before “sun set”, not in direct light but certainly lots of light. One had to really look to confirm it was Borealis.. so from my observation it doesn’t really pop PURPLE.. much more dark eggplant.

I am leaning towards Catalina Cove being similar in construction to Limestone with the flecks of blue and green changing the color perspective based on how the light strikes it. Of couse with a blue-green teal base rather than the grey of Limestone.

Edit-spelling
As one of the first limestone owners, I'm definitely sad there isn't a more muted grey color this time. I'm leaning towards the Catalina Cove, too. I'd be happier with a muted grey or sad beige, though.

Launch green is muted.

Love this! I was yapping in another thread about how the upcoming Catalina Cove has little too much green for a blue, for me, but this, now THIS is B L U E :D

Depends on environment. They are all metallic paints. Even the "muted" Limestone and Launch Green. Metallic paints have metal flakes in the paint emulsion. These metal flakes act like mirrors, reflect light and color of light in the surrounding environment. Size of flakes and types of metal can produce different results too.

Take Borealis for instance. In darker environments and in the shade, it can be almost black with a little color. In the bright sun it can be as purple as Barney the dinosaur.

The discontinued Red Canyon is the same way. It can look like a not-quite-ripe dull red tomato or state fair candy glazed ripe red apple.

Don't take online CG renderings literally. It only shows one dimension of the paint, in simulated neutral surroundings.

I saw 2 different sets of pics/videos, some lighting variance, and it's got a good bit of green shift (to my reasonably decent "designer eye" and good displays).

I've had a lot of vehicles with a lot of different colors (including a couple of custom paint jobs), so I'm pretty dialed into the color aspect.

But certainly, I will hold final judgement, order commitment, until I see them in person. :)

And FWIW, in that same post, I chuckled about, if I'm going green-ish/-esque, I'm going all in with Launch Green :D Which with all the vehicles we've owned, would be our first green one!
