Tesla Model Y (R2 reservation)
Hi folks, I'm a Tesla owner and R2 reservation holder. I loved my 2021 Model Y and had a 2019 reservation for the Cybertruck until the Cybertruck actually happened. I hung onto that fever dream until I actually got a order it notification from Tesla that broke my fever and I cancelled the Cybertruck res. I bought another Model Y after my original leased Model Y with the intention of selling it when the R2 happened. NACS charging and a hitch for my ebike(s) rack are must have features so the R2 is a no-brainer for me. I really like the current ver FSD but it does not work with the bike rack installed. All things considered, the R2 looks to be my next vehicle.

The other new Rivian thing is Also the ebike. I watched the ALSO product launch and ordered the TM-B Launch addition that same day. The excellent youtube video on this forums sealed that deal. Loved the detail and honesty of that video and happily placed an order. Most people don't ride their ebikes like I do (5-6K miles/yr) and complained about the price of the TM-B but my 2 current German Ebikes each cost more that double the price of the Also TM-B so I find it a good value. Having real BEV features in an ebike is just too much to pass up. Hopefully, 2026 will be the year of the Rivianization of my electric transportation life. I have solar on the roof with batteries and I'm living as close as possible to an off grid lifestyle in the suburbs. We live in Rivian friendly Northern California with year round outdoor activities not limited by weather. Looking forward to gaining insight and sharing my thoughts here.

R1S
Hi, I'm currently purchasing my first Rivian (R1S) and am also a R2 reservation holder and stockholder. I've owned three EVs prior (Tesla Model 3, Model Y and Model X) but have switched to Rivian for more offroad capabilities. I'm in the purchasing phase now and hoping to take delivery in a week or so.

Hi all, long time lurker and 1st-gen R1S owner here. Thanks to those that recommended the 20" Michelin tires, as I got them installed this morning and they seem to be a great improvement for road noise over the OEM Pirellis.

Considering an R2 after the upgraded navigation and a year of production. Currently own a 2022 Mach-E and a 2022 Lightning, looking to replace the Mach-E in 2027.

Concerns are whether Rivian can hit the promised price point and volume necessary to be successful in the longterm, and whether the service network is good enough and widespread enough. Nearest to me is 44 miles.

Hello Everyone!

I’ve been a member of this forum for what feels like forever, and for a host of reasons things never lined up for me to get an R1. After more than six years on the sidelines I finally took delivery of a Tri motor R1S this past Friday. Happy to officially be a member of the club, and am so happy with my purchase!

Say hello to Sierra Storm!

Greetings! I joined the Rivian fam back in September and am absolutely loving it! I picked up a '22 R1T in green with that killer brown wood interior. Building it out as a semi-overlanding build with a RTT. Added an Electrified Overland tunnel slider and custom building a kitchen for it.

Absolutely love this truck.

2026 R1T Tri
Hello!

Just purchased a Forest Green R1T Trimotor, replacing my Land Rover Defender 110, also have a Kia EV6.

Been a great week getting to know the R1T and discovered a couple things along the way.

Have a few delivery issues lined up for my service appointment tomorrow, which sound about typical from other deliveries items I am seeing, minor pain/panel issues, a rattle in the passenger door. Everyone at Rivian has been very helpful so far so hopefully will get all of them sorted.

To my surprise, when I picked it up, the software configuration was set up for AT wheel/tires, my order was for the standard 22" wheels. I thought that was strange as those usually come with the reinforced body package and spare tire. I looked underneath and as it turns out I think I have the reinforced underbody!

Mechanically, everything is looking good, no suspension noises, or other issues so far.

Good Evening!
Just went from 22 MY LR to a 22 R1T LE. The swap has been easy and I couldn't be happier! Also just got done with my first SC visit and it took about a week and they got my truck back to me. They did a bunch of warranty work and then I paid for some panel gap adjustments and a multi point inspection.

Mustang Mach-e First Edition
Hello. The R2 looks great to me. I test drove the R1S and found it too big and not great road handling unless the suspension was down and set on sport, so I am expecting the R2 to fit me and my driving style better. I currently drive a Mach-e First Edition, which is my third EV. One concern I have about a Rivian is that I spend 6 months in the mountains 175 miles from Phoenix, and pretty much need a car that will go 6 months without immediately necessary service. I don't expect Rivian to be Lexus dependable, but the last thing I need is another MB or BMW where serious service surprises are the norm. My Mach-e has been wonderfully dependable.

I live four hours from a service center and have not had to get any emergency work done in the two years I've had my R1T. Any stuff was either preemptive, or something that I brought up, all handled by mobile service or a nearby collision center that was able to do the work.

Rivian is also working hard on both building more service centers and scaling the mobile service teams, so things will only get better.

Welcome. You should have a similar experience to your Mach-E. Our 2.5-year-old R1S has been to service once and it was a same day turnaround. My truck has been amazing and I'm at 66,000 miles. Nothing will ever match the reliability of my old Tundra. 125,000 miles (or so) and never had a single solitary issue (zero) or for that matter not a single check-engine light. (I digress)

My name is Roland Penttila (Pent'-tala) and I've had 3 BEVs since 2020. I stated with a 2020 Tesla Model Y Dual Motor, bought a 2022 Audi Q4 e-tron (truly a piece of shit) and another Tesla Model Y in 2024. I love my Tesla but I don't love people assuming my politics because of the brand of car I own. I like the styling of the R2 and the fact that no one knows RJ's political views. I prefer NOT to know what CEO's believe.
I've made a deposit for an R2 but don't think I'll be getting one before Fall of 2026. There are lots of depositors and the first models are going to be all gussied up and very expensive. I'll sell my Tesla once I have the R2.
EV's are the future of worldwide personal transportation. The Chinese know this. Norwegians know this. Our administration just can't think of more ways to promote gas-guzzling smog producers to the detriment of America staying ahead of the world in innovation and manufacturing.
