aha there we go. I was looking at your products recently and saw the flow formed wheels were the same price as the fully forged wheels and alarm bells started ringing. I assume they were still in production and the storefront wasn't complete yet?

that was a typo - flow is lower price. fully forged is higher price. fixed

Anyone confirm these work with a good snow/ice tire? I’ve been happy with x-ice tires on other SUV’s, but would like to confirm this combo works. I’d plan on ordering these the day I accept delivery of our R2, hopefully in October.

As long as the size is correct, the tire (any tire) doesn't care what wheel it's mounted on. It's not sentient. It won't check itself out in the mirror and go... "oh I look cute with this." If you match factory tire size, width and overall diameter, it will definitely work.

20" wheel - 255/60R20
19" wheel - 255/65R19 (virtually identical OD, +0.3% larger than above)

I appreciate it, that’s been my understanding but I’m not a tire installer or automotive engineer, and I’ve been surprised by things I thought would work turned out not. I’ve been told/checked specs and math to verify tires and wheel wells would work with snow chains and had them not. In my field, I’ve had software not confirm to specs or behave non-deterministically way too often. I’m paranoid

So it’s genuinely good to know that these absolutely _should_ work. Thanks!

I’d still like to know if someone else has tried a combination, especially on a new platform, particularly if I’m making a potentially non-returnable purchase.

By next January I’d think the odds are extremely high that someone has tried this or a very similar configuration and if there were issues they would be talking about it.

When the platform is brand new, the aftermarket wheels are brand new, and it’s summer, I bet it’s unlikely anyone has- but maybe?

Yes, for sure rated for snow/ice use.

Is the R1200 version the exact same color as the pic above? Website makes them look more gunmetal. On my computer, anyway.

They look the same. We probably need to update photos on the site for R1200. The only visual difference is the fully forged has a few things milled into the face: 1EV and FORGED.

The fully forged has knurled beads too, and is obviously lighter weight.

Keep in mind, both (all our) wheels R1200 and R120F are properly load rated for R2. Be careful with this factoid. The R2 is heavy and you need wheels properly designed for it.
