R1T starts at $80k now, not a comparison.This may be a direct threat to Slate but it is a threat to Rivian R1T as well. This Ford truck will likely be in the same size category, and even if they end up charging $60K for a bigger battery/longer range version this is a direct threat to Rivian. On the plus side, this may push Rivian to update the R1T quicker with R2-like tech to bring the cost down. I doubt they would call it an R1T Gen 3 because that would instantly make higher cost used R1Ts unsellable. More likely the R2T with about the same capacity. Now reading my own words, I suddenly feel like the R1T is at a dead end.
