Reserved at 11:08am on March 7, 2024. Notified on June 30, 2026 that I would be invited to order within 2-4 weeks. Invited to order July 22, 2026. Placed order but haven't received VIN or delivery timeline yet, most recent email says "We are getting your vehicle ready for production."

A couple miles from a dealer and a service center, launch edition, no current Rivian ownership. I did upload my Nissan Leaf lease paperwork-- lease ends in late August.

Scheduled for 8/5 delivery. Guess the ol' train is a movin' down the tracks now.

I also just got my delivery appointment for 8/7. As of last Thursday, they told me my car was "still at the plant", so I wonder if it just got on a train at the plant, just made it through the St Louis transfer, or is simply allocated a rail car and they are preemptively scheduling? I'll contact them again tonight to see if I can get the rail car info to track as it makes its way down here.

Note, assuming this appointment holds, it is just under the wire of my initial 4-8 week estimate (from the configurator during purchase).

Just for reference, my R2 shows build date of 6/22, I picked it up on 7/21 in SoCal.

Not sure if the build date is start or finish but 4 weeks from Normal to SoCal seems reasonable.

Worth noting my original delivery was 7/15, pushed to 7/19, then pushed to 7/21. The reschedules were on 7/9 and 7/16 so plenty of advanced notice.

So we ordered ours last week, had a nice text exchange with the service center who reached out and provided a text number to text for updates. They were inquiring if we're traveling or have any potential dates we cannot do. Reached out today for an update and was told that it is scheduled for delivery to them on 8/2 but they are seeing delays on transportation and expected that date to slip. Will be interesting to see once they get it, how long it takes for them to do QC checks and give me a date.

I am really just trying to align selling my wife's Model Y performance so we're not a single car family (R1T) for too long.

ya I submitted it just before posting the above Probably just hasn't been approved yet for it to show up. Have you gotten the email about completing the order? that's when my vin started showing up in the portal. Was kinda just "there."

You reserved it, or you ordered it?

I reserved mine two years ago, was given a 2-4 week window to order it on June 30th, was invited to order this morning, and 5 hours later I have a VIN and signed paperwork. No delivery date yet, however.

What steps in the purchase process have you finished so far? My options to go through the finance/payment process are not open yet.

I'm still waiting on a scheduled delivery date even though I've had a VIN for almost two weeks. It was confirmed that the vehicle is heading my direction, but have only been given approximate timelines and was told a date would be scheduled when it arrives.

Seems strange that all these centers follow a different process.

I placed my 400 deposit on July 14th and that was it. Just waiting for vin and more information. I just want my car

The lack of consistency between the different SC's in different states is something Rivian needs to fix. This process should be the same across the board. Also when I call in and speak to the call center in Georgia vs talking to my local delivery team guide there is often a disconnect in what they are communicating.

I wonder if some of these steps open sooner or later depending on your trade in status and options you selected when ordering? I'm pretty sure all my steps were open immediately.
