The issue is that so many things play into efficiency that you need to include that additional data to form a model. But, yeah the poll is too simplistic.
Before I buy the R2 I'll probably find some dataset where I can determine the average efficiency for 70mph.
For my specific use case I have to drive roughly 220 miles a few times a month and I'd want to do this with a 90% charge when I leave with a minimum 10% charge when I arrive.
I can typically so this in the warmer months with my R1T Large Pack with 21" tires. For my trip 70 is more of a max speed than an average speed.
Only really during the wettest or coldest months do I need to charge to 100%.

We picked up our R2 yesterday, the battery was at 98% and showed 329 miles (all purpose), 70% of that is 230 miles so in theory you could leave at 80% and arrive around 10%.
I have a place in the desert that is 120 miles (240 round trip) door to door, mostly highway. I’m heading out there next week in the R2. I’ll set a trip meter and try to remember to post the results back in this thread. it will probably be triple digit temps for half of the distance so will be a good test as not optimal conditions.
I’m very curious what the R2 will do, round trip in the R1S is typically 83% doing 70-75.
