Update on R2 order invitation timing now in account

So 10 days later my window is still 4-8 weeks (not say 3-7 weeks). Maybe I’m perpetually 4-8 weeks away.

Did a test drive this week. Fun. Liked it.

I'm not really sure there is a reason to update them.

Ultimately I expected invites this week, then another batch two Tuesdays from now [some from the 2-4 week batch and some in the 4-8 week batch], then 2 weeks following that another 4-8 week batch, then another 4-8 week batch and some of the "August-September" dates... which is somehow different than 4-8 weeks.

I just got a text message that I am invited to order and my account was updated to the same. Original window was 2-4 weeks.

I’m glad to see they’re keeping the estimates up to date. Mine hasn’t changed from the original Sept-Oct estimate.

We got our invite this AM right after posting this lol.

We want the Coastal interior, so it's interesting it just tells you that "you're on the list" when you build it. I know it's not out yet, but a timing update would be nice.

I'm going to assume there is both a large group waiting for LiDAR and those like us who want Coastal Cloud.

I suspect you are correct. I like the Coastal Cloud interior but my use case makes the black
Interior better choice for hiding dirt and grime. I need the towing package and full autonomy+ is sufficient for me. The benefits of LIDAR are likely several years out. I may someday regret the decision…who knows. Candidly the only concern I have is highway range. I coming from a BMW IX50 that has had decent highway range.

Coastal cloud and forest green availability is imminent; August starts Saturday. A forest green R2 is now on display in Normal also.
