I dunno. I always people who debadge their cars are embarrassed to own it.
I doubt that, at least in the majority of cases. Somebody who takes the trouble to debadge is most likely someone who cares a lot about how their car looks (whether or not anyone else might approve of their design choice) and probably wouldn't buy one they didn't want.

I, like many other early Ioniq5 owners, removed the large hood and trunk H logos (some just because they were big ugly cheap chrome thingies, unlike the more recent improved satin-y ones) and replaced them with the H Morse code, same as Hyundai themselves did on the steering wheel.

I have a Model Y and a Model 3 and debadged both. Not due to embarrassment but due to cleanliness and application of ceramic coating. Its really difficult to apply with lettering. Also, when washing, its difficult to get into the lettering.

But, I dont know if I want to debadge the R2 yet. I plan on wrapping it, so a decision will need to be made before that happens.

To me, this really comes down to your personal sense of design - what is pleasing to your eye, and what you find visaully offensive. Example: I had a Mazda Miata - loved that car. So much fun to drive. But...the rear trunk lid was cluttered. It's a small car to being with, and the lid itslef had little vertical space in addiiton to being small in width. Someone at Mazda decided that this would look good; Mazda logo in the middle, MAZDA spelled out in straight letters on the left side, and a stylized "MX-5" on the right. In my view, the logo was fine, but the lettering was unbalanced, inconsistent, and cluttered up the clean lines of the car. I removed them and kept the logo.

So much better!

I have no problem with the R2 design choices.

I may be in the minority, but I like the bading. I am glad it isn't some annoyingly large badging or that it is embossed into the metal. But I am ok with it on our R1T and hopefully soon to be R2

I think it looks great also. Zero complaints. Nothing overly intrusive.

I dunno. I always people who debadge their cars are embarrassed to own it. Dealer decals on the other hand get removed the day it hits my garage. Not that there would be any on the Rivian.
Porsche offers this as a factory option. You think Porsche owners are embarrassed? It's not for me, but some people just like it.

As for dealer decals--I won't take delivery if it has one.

Are you or have you been a member of the Miata forum? Look like you had a NC1

I've owned two '08 prht miatas. You might have seen one of them.

Up until 2 weeks ago, I worked on Mazda's advertising since late 2010.

I really enjoyed my Miatas, and I learned to drive on an '82 Rx7. I miss the sporty feel but I've had multiple foot surgeries and I've lost a lot of sensitive in my left foot, I ended up selling all my manuals :(.

I finally got a 2019 Corvette manual - the last year they made one. Also the last year you could get a soft top convertible. Ordered it the way I wanted it, and picked it up at the Corvette Museum. Still have it.
