I, like everyone else, am awaiting the "late June" email that will tell us a general "idea" of when we'll be able to place an order.

Invite pool seemed substantial last week, so maybe they won't do one this week. Who knows. My vehicle has broken down twice in the last 10 days, thankfully became drivable on Friday, but I'm certainly looking forward to having a new vehicle and retiring my trusty steed.

If I don't get one soon, then I guess I get to consider the costal cloud interior.

I'm just wondering if August is when Coastal Cloud interior can be ordered (with a wait for delivery) or if deliveries of that interior start in August.

Hoping for the latter! But I have a feeling orders will start then...and "coming in August" could mean August 31st...sigh

I would assume that "August" means "by the end of August."
Meaning that ordering will be availalble by August 31.
Safer that way, and there's alwasy a chance I will be pleasantly suprised!

You're probably right. With R2 they initially said "Early 2026" and "Early" ended up being nearly start of Q3.

The release window for R2 has always been first half 2026, ever since the first reveal in 2024. I even checked the internet archive. Fine print even then said "first half of 2026".

Would still make my statement true that they end up on the late end of their timeline. First half is January - June and they landed on June.

No, it doesn't. You said they announced that deliveries would be early 2026. Rivian has never said that. Just because someone says "first half" doesn't mean that it's going to actually then be "first quarter".
