I don't understand how a non-employee person states that they got a delivery yesterday. You could not even order the car until yesterday so somebody had an inside track which should not count as a general public delivery. But I'm glad to see that they are ending up in peoples garages. No hate here, I'm waiting for the borealis color anyway.

I asked my sales guy if I could buy the demo yesterday, he said "no" with a little chuckle. Then went on to tell me it's weird that he's in a sales position and can't actually sell cars to people. That's my sad story for today.

Incorrect but all depends on when you placed order and what you currently own etc.

On the Reddit post from yesterday the user proceeded to explain how it happened. The main points were that Rivian called him to see if he was able to speed thru the process & commit to picking up yesterday.

Not what they told me. But maybe you’ve been told something different. They can’t do deliveries in Virginia. All must be done in Gaithersburg and they are limited on capacity right now. Other regions are getting more inventory first.

R1 owner (early vin) and two day one R2 reservations. We’re in the ‘we’ll get an update later this month’ crowd.

Dear Rivian, I'll take a car with trivial build quality/panel alignment issues if before the end of the month if you wanna pad your quarterly. I'm just going to take a lot of it apart anyway. Maybe even something with minor damage to the front and rear bumpers.

The process for approving and taking delivery if the cars are available is less than 1hr. The financing approval and document generation is instant.

Yeah Kyle has gone full Karen, he was banking on a big revenue week. My assumption is they wanted to hit delivery date they promised wall Street, so they launched it half backed. The influencers will all get delivery at once when the software and audio is dialed in
