Are these the Michelin 115s or 119s?

The 115’s which costco had no problem installing. They are OK, not great in my use case. No off roading and only snow if it falls at my house (rarely)

How do the Toyo Proxies compare to the 115 Defenders and the stock Pirellis?

I had 21" wheels originally, so I can't compare to the stock 22" Pirelli sports. They are much sticker than the Defenders though, and stiffer (which i like). Economy is slightly down compared to the Defenders as well, but i was looking for a sport tire and the Michelin PS5 wasn't out (and really expensive for short life).

I am on my second set of Continentals. Honest 40K miles on a set, work could be done at Walmart.

How do the continentals compare to stock? Ride quality and range hit?

interesting. I have the 119 version and it’s rock solid. Quiet, smooth, tracks well. I expected worse traction compared with stock but have yet to squeal them on the cloverleaf so they are just fine.

There is a bit of road noise compared to stock. Range hit negligible.

Michelin CrossClimate2. I had 48,000 miles on the previous truck & still had 8-9/32. Quiet & 3 peak. I put them on our X5 too.

Nokian One H/T is probably your best bet, if you don't need ice/snow capability (which the Pirelli doesn't have either). It should also last longer than the Pirelli due to higher UTQG (720 A A vs 500 A A) and deeper tread (12.5/32 vs 9/32). But they are heavier (41 vs 37). If most of your driving is stop & go, you probably will observe a drop in efficiency. But they are less than half the price of the Scorpion Zero.

Defender LTX M/S2 with 115 load index is below factory requirement of 116. Some tire shops will not install it due to liability risk. These shops would install the 119 version. However, this is a mud & snow rated tire. Expect lower dry grip and efficiency than the Scorpion Zero you'd be replacing.

I got the Nokian One HTs about a month ago and am very happy with them. They are noticeably louder on the road than the stock Pirellis but they also come with so much more tread... I'm confident that the trade off is worth it, especially at the price point you can get them for. I ordered my set from Tire Agent for a little over $600 after offers and had them installed at my house by a local mobile installer.

Which Contis? I've been running the Terrain Contact HT and they are hands down better than the OE Scorpion Zero in every way, especially noise and ride comfort. I wouldn't recommend the 115 for anyone doing any significant towing but otherwise it's been a fantastic match for the R1S.

What's your tire type preference? Efficiency, all purpose, comfort, sport focused?
I'm assuming the Contis don't grip like the Toyos; my Defenders weren't even close to the level of grip.

I would say comfortable all purpose. I drive a lot just passed 140K, last set of Contis were comfy decided to get a second one.
Toyos had a better grip on asphalt in my opinion but they seemed softer and wore faster (37K) but I did some gravel/mild off road on them.

24k miles on my 2023 R1S LE and noticed the tires need replacing ASAP.

Looking for tires to match/exceed comfort, efficiency, noise of the stock pirellis, at a reasonable price.

Did my due diligence and found Michelin Defender 115 and Nokian One 116 were most recommended.

However, the two America’s Tires near me refused to install the 115s, and the Nokian is backordered nationally with no ETA.

We are on our 2nd R1T…both had 22” for originals. Our newest is a 2023 R1T…we changed out the Perilli’s around 20k. This time we went with Michelin Defenders MS/2’s in the 115 load rating which is plenty. Our 2022 Quad had 115 Perilli’s so don’t let anyone tell you, you have to have 116 or higher. We could have gone with the 119’s, but they are very heavy and will diminish range. We now have 18k on the Michelins and they have barely worn. These are amazing tires in wet, dry, lite off road, snow, towing…we have put ours through all of these situations without a hiccup. Recent rotation and we are at 10/32 which is amazing.
