24k miles on my 2023 R1S LE and noticed the tires need replacing ASAP.

Looking for tires to match/exceed comfort, efficiency, noise of the stock pirellis, at a reasonable price.

Did my due diligence and found Michelin Defender 115 and Nokian One 116 were most recommended.

However, the two America’s Tires near me refused to install the 115s, and the Nokian is backordered nationally with no ETA.

Appreciate any suggestions, thanks!

Nokian One H/T is probably your best bet, if you don't need ice/snow capability (which the Pirelli doesn't have either). It should also last longer than the Pirelli due to higher UTQG (720 A A vs 500 A A) and deeper tread (12.5/32 vs 9/32). But they are heavier (41 vs 37). If most of your driving is stop & go, you probably will observe a drop in efficiency. But they are less than half the price of the Scorpion Zero.

Defender LTX M/S2 with 115 load index is below factory requirement of 116. Some tire shops will not install it due to liability risk. These shops would install the 119 version. However, this is a mud & snow rated tire. Expect lower dry grip and efficiency than the Scorpion Zero you'd be replacing.

Two things.

1) Micheline LTX M/S2 275/50/22 does come in 116 load index

2) I have the original LTX M/S2 at 115 installed by Costco on my R1S. Now 15K miles on them without any issues.

The PS S5 is a summer UHP tire and not AS.

The Michelin Defenders also have an E load version with 119/116S rating, that would meet the load requirements for the vehicle. Be aware it is a heavier tire, so range might suffer a little.

I had the 22" 119S Defenders put on at Costco. No issues. Solid tire. Better ride quality than the flimsy Pirelli's. Maybe 5% hit to range though, and I run them at a higher pressure due to the E load rating, around 60psi.

If you are looking for similar or better on road performance driving then there are only 2 choices for all seasons. Stock Pirellies or Toyo Proxes St III everything else is a much bigger trade off for other qualities like snow, off road, tread life and etc. Only you can decide what's more important to you.

I am on my second set of Continentals. Honest 40K miles on a set, work could be done at Walmart.

I use a local shop that caters to sports and luxury cars. I send them the tires from tire rack and they install without question; they've installed the 115 Defenders and my current Toyo Proxies. I will never load my truck up enough to be an issue running the 115.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm disappointed with the Michelin defenders I had installed at costco. They have have an annoying drone on the freeway for me. Maybe it will get better when I get more miles on them? Their range is at least as good and the OEM Pirelli's but I liked the Pirelli's performance more.

If I couldn't get the Nokian One 116, I'd try the Continentals.

How do the Toyo Proxies compare to the 115 Defenders and the stock Pirellis?

Are these the Michelin 115s or 119s?
