I've begun buying the pieces for a comma install using the xnor harness w/ longitudinal upgrade. Before I ordered I was wanting an all-in price that I couldn't find, so for benefit of others for me it was $540.12 = $424.00 + $25.99 shipping + $96.13 tariff charged by UPS.

I've also been looking into removal mounts. Magnetic mounts scare me so I was looking into below option, people on that reddit thread seem to really like it.

Comma 3x comes with a mount and the Lukas harness uses Comma’s secondary port/USB-C connector form factor.

I got a whopping tariff invoice (~$136) in the mail from UPS a month after receiving the harness and paying a smaller tariff at time of delivery.

Lukas said, “you’re the importer” and he’s right. But it is not at all clear to the buyer. That’s a hefty total.

Edited for clarity

I’ll share the UPS bill and tariffs. I used ChatGPT to verify and cross checked and they were correct.

Called UPS and we disconnected after 2 hours on hold. Got a late notice.

I presume "Cooka 3x" is a typo and you meant stock "Comma 3x"? Yes, it comes with a mount but I'm still looking for quick release. Just not prone to detaching in sudden deceleration like an accident i.e. not magnetic based like chun, beartech etc. I've seen no mounts yet that makes connecting to the 2nd USB port any easier than what gerrylum pointed out with the magnetic adapter and USB extender. AFAIK the above RoadQuirky1539 version should work with that approach, it doesn't seem to cover up that 2nd port.

There are some nice slide versions out there like this one - Beartech Slidemount, Openpilot Slide Quick Mount SET for Comma Device – BearTechWorkshop

Thanks for catching the typo (auto-incorrect).

I am using stock mount with but magnetic extender/adapter for the 2nd port. I butchered a sunshade to fit with the C3X in place and leave it mounted most of the time.

I expected, when I bought it, that the R1T would have the basic capability that Comma does, but Gen 1 never will.

This was for my R1T, a few days later I decided to buy a 2nd xnor harness w/ longitudinal upgrade for wife's R1S, was inexplicably charged less tariff for what should be the same shipped content: $52.55.

I'm trying to find out the particular tariff laws used to assess these fees, especially in case it a refund option becomes available associated with the various legal challenges in process, but I haven't gotten a response from UPS yet.

Search with ChatGPT or similar. Unfortunately when I did, it appears the tariffs do match the insane tariffs currently enacted.

Can you report back. If I can ever get ahold of UPS I want to fight the $136 Lukas harness tariff as well as the the they’re charging me for the molex power connector that I refused delivery on due to the massive tariff.
