Trojans lead the way?

TireRack seems to think they’re decent in their linked report. But also don’t seem super impressed. Not specifically formulated for EVs, so I’d be surprised if they are as quiet and efficient as the SL Toyo OC ATIII EV. 640 tread wear vs 600.

One of the bummers about this tire is the same issue as with the Nitto G3… 44psi max inflation :( The XL option still seems to be on the table though.

Look again. Max pressure is 51 psi. Weight is 44 lbs.

I just put Duelers on my R1T. I only have 600 miles on them, but I like them so far. The road noise difference is not noticeable, and the ride over rough roads is significantly smoother.

I'm getting the Bridgestones installed later this week. Been doing a lot of research and most who've had the Toyo AT3's for 10-15K miles have noticed that they have gotten noticeably louder. I'm hoping these Bridgestones, that seems to be more road focused, will last longer before getting annoyingly loud.

Got any efficiency numbers on these? Please include your previous tire and that efficiency for comparison. I realize it's cooler and wetter around here now so I expect it to be lower.

I was on 21” OEM tires and picked up a set of 20” wheels from the forums.
Since the switch I seem to be getting almost exactly 2.0 mi/kWh on the freeway. My estimated range went down 25 miles. Max charge now shows 305 miles of range, which so far has felt pretty accurate.
Apologies for the lack of scientific data- I don’t monitor my range and efficiency very closely. I was more focused on noise, handling & ride quality; all of which I’ve been very happy with.

I installed the Dueler A/T Ascents on my ‘23 R1T QM two days ago. I went with the LT275/65-20 version. I do some off roading and this is a 7000+ lbs. truck. The SL version seemed a little weak, to me, especially with the low max air pressure. I have religiously tracked my efficiency data since the beginning of the year, so I’ll be interested to see how these tires affect that. So far, about the only impressions I have are that they do have a different feel than the Pirellis, a little firmer, and they are sooo quiet (new tires are almost always quiet) 😊 Efficiency-wise, I expect to take a bit of a hit, but it hasn’t been, initially, too noticeable. My driving efficiency, over the last few months, has been crazy good!!! The onset of much cooler weather may affect efficiency as much as the tires. With a lot more miles, we’ll see how all this plays out. In a year or so, I’ll know a lot more.

Definitely not hallucinating. My tire shop confirmed max tire pressure of 51 psi for the SL version of these tires.

And even if it did have a max pressure less than 48, I think there is a general misunderstanding of what that means. If it was the case (like the SL Pirelli XTM AT) there is no danger in running the tire—as long as load the tire is rated for at that pressure is still greater than load at each corner of the R1. The actual problem is more of a inconvenience than safety, due to Rivian’s low pressure warning threshold in software. I’m not sure what exactly that figure is. But, in my own R1T, I have observed 43 psi with no warnings being triggered.

In my Gen1 I see warnings starting at 38, which may flip to 39 due to rounding or warming and still show a red warning. IRL that's 40-41 psi via reliable handheld gauges, which is what I often run on some rougher gravel roads.
