I was trying to see if any service centers have been planned in the midwest, and I haven't seen anything yet. In this thread, there isn't even anything remotely close enough to count, which is weird, because they already have multiple in other areas of the country.
I know they'll prioritize the coast, but you'd think they'd want to have something central so they can cover a wider area. Makes me nervous we'll get pushed out even further from getting our trucks out here.
I've lived with having my closest Tesla service center be over 1.5 hours away since I got it in 2015, and while I've never loved this (it's causing real issues now that I'm out of warranty), the ranger support has worked pretty well for me until then. But it looks like the closest option so far is Chicago (or the Normal plant), which is simply too far to expect them to be able to work on the truck when something fails.
