Congrats on the new truck! Looks awesome….

I wonder at what point they changed the seat stitching? Some Gen 2s have seats stitched like the Gen 1s: https://demovehicles.rivian.com/pro...pdsgbba2sn054758?_pos=72&_fid=38cf32ad0&_ss=c

Now they all seem to have the stitching like your truck….
There are two different trim levels, Adventure and Ascend. Adventure has the original stitching pattern, Ascend has the seat stitching you see. There are also different color combinations of wood and in my case my seats are blue. This interior is only available on the Ascend trim. Ascend only comes in tri motor or the new quad that's yet to be released.

very nice looking truck
really like the black with walnut interior
Me too! That is definitely my favorite new G2 Ascent or whatever they are calling the new seat pattern and goldish metal trim. I can't keep it straight if Ascent or Ascend.

Good to read about the differences. I too have a quad delivered 6/23. I haven't done any real trail stuff with mine but I installed Mega Watt Rock Sliders on mine to do just that. I have had absolutely no issues with my Adventure Model T, None. I would consider an upgrade but I'd have to remove my rock sliders and it looks like I would never, ever find a compass yellow again. I have really grown to like my compass yellow and maybe I'll just stick with with my road sign yellow Model T.

I wouldn't give up my G1 Yellow R1T if that is your favorite color. Mine is a G1 Forest Green and I love the thing. Plus if it is a good one like mine has been.....I dont want to roll the QC dice till we know it is better than it is.

I had a goal of keeping it until the R2 came out ... but wanted to take advantage of the tax savings this year.

How is level 2 charging on the new tri motor/max battery? Saw some commentary on YouTube that seems to indicate it can’t hold ~11kw beyond ~80%, and drops down to 4-6kw for the last 20%?
late to the post, this this info was wrong.

It may not be wrong. I did experienced the same thing a couple days ago when I tried to charge to 100% just before my first trip on my new 1 week old R1T Tri-Motor. On long trips with my Gen 1 Quad, I always timed the charge so it would finished at 100% right about leaving time. So I was really surprised to see the battery was not full, no where even close to 85%, and charging at less than 6 kw when I was about to leave. This was only one time since I haven't had the need to do it again. Don't want to report it unless it happens again.

I'm.... 4 months into having a Gen2 max pack. I'm pretty sure it's not normal behavior.

Rivian mentioned in a release note somewhat recently that they'll modify charging in a specific situation.

Lot's of possibilities for what you described, the most common would be that the charger you were using was shared and you hadn't noticed.

@SeaGeo ,

My R1T is my only EV in the house! II have never experienced this situation in nearly three years of Rivian Gen 1 ownership. My charger is 60 amp hardwired. Gen 1 R1T had always been charged at 11.5 kw at all times.
