My goodness these types of replies add zero value.
Zero value to the ignorant. Off pavement oriented tires are inherently noisy because of the voids between tread blocks. These voids are designed for off pavement traction and ability to shed/clear rocks and mud (to maintain traction). They make the tires less smooth, have higher rolling resistance and generate more noise.

Noise should never be a concern when one is willfully choosing ATs. Noise and off-pavement oriented tires go hand-in-hand.
Bullshit, of course. We can all make choices between different compromises. It would be like saying you can't talk about mileage with sport tires. The reality of course is that you can make that choice based on your needs. I've run loud tires on a vehicle with high offroad prowess and took the compromise. The Rivian is a light adventure and offroad vehicle and I'm looking for a very different end of the compromise.

Thanks! I just had custom sized stickers made to fit over the BR cap.

Mud flaps are Twraps standard size.
Very cool. Do you have a link to the stickers for the rims?? ?

Dang those look good. What do you think of the ride comfort/noise/efficiency compared to the OEM Pirelli's?
Well like I previously mentioned the tire shop messed up and put the LT road E rated tires so I can clearly feel the heavier and stiffer ride on bumps etc.

Noise level is just as much as the Pirellis were, I mean they’re AT tires. I’m seriously contemplating just getting some road tires like the Michelin MS2. I may go this route not because I hear any hums or road noise etc, it’s just a decision based on trying to achieve higher mi/kWh. I don’t off-road with this vehicle to justify ATs.

general grabber hts60 or the Michelins will definitely be your best bet. If max tire life is what you are looking for get the Michelins (harder compound), if max efficiency then get the grabbers (softer compound). At a savings of $300 ($900 v. $1200), I’d likely opt for the General Grabbers

Whew, glad I saw this thread...

Honestly I did not expect the max psi to be different in the same size tire. I've been setting to OEM standard 48psi for the past ~9k miles... oops hopefully I didn't wear out the center tread. This is the first time I've ever not replaced OEM tires with OEM, lesson learned.

I think I'll just reduce to 45-46, they look droopy too low.

Overall I like the tires, less noise (slightly overinflated), handle better, but I have seen a drop in efficiency.

Made this video after posting this thread given the number of people interested - Enjoy!

I’ve run 25k miles on my R1T beginning with my Pirelli OEM AT 20”. Those lasted about 17k miles before the noise was unbearable. I’ve tried several tires since then and found the holy grail of looks, comfort, and efficiency:

1. Pierelli OEM AT 275/65/20: good response, traction, and longetivity. Horrible noise and very stiff. Switched out at 17k miles and historical 1.85 M/kw
2. Michelin Defender LTX MS2 in 275/60/20: These reduced the size of my tire to 33”, but it was butter smooth, quiet, and efficiency jumped to around 2.4 M/KW. Looked bland, actually i hated the look. Was going to keep until i put it in sport in a spirited drive. These tires made the rivian dangerous - wobly, lack of traction. I had around 2k miles i changed them.
3. Michelin Defender Platinum 275/65/20: good look, quiet, soft - even for an LT tire. Traction was not great, but steering response was ok. Over 5k miles, it gave me an average of 1.9 M/kw. The reason i changed them out was because vibrations would always come back after 500-800 miles of being balanced.
4. Nitto Recon Grappler AT 116 275/65/20: AWESOME! Soft, quiet (not as quiet as the LTX), awesome look, no vibration. Best of all? I’m averaging 2.4 M/kw in my first 1k miles! I think it will do better once things settle more. The reason i believe so is because my commute is about 30 miles and with these, i’m consuming around 9% whereas my defender LTX was overing around 10%, with the OEM being around 12-13%.

The peson at Discount Tire pushed me towards the Nitto after my fails with the Michelins - i was not going to listen to him, but he said i will not regret. He told me that these weigh like 48lbs, the lightest AT, are 116 so will be soft and quiet vs an LT, and are much more efficient vs the Recon Grappler non AT. I’m so glad i did, so passing along to this forum! Adding pictrures of the three tires so you can see the look.

Curious what your thoughts and range are on these after you've had them for a while. Somehow my OEM are in pretty good shape at 20K but sound is starting to be annoying. Are you still happy with them? Is your range still sitting close to 2.4?

I probably have around 15k on these and have very minimal wear, probably get another 30k from them. Noise has increased marginally, nothing compared to the OEM. Range has been exceptional, on regular mode I'm getting an average of 2.2 miles vs. ~1.9. Lower than originally noted of 2.4, but this is real world over 15k miles which includes some towing. On Econ model I get like 2.7. Getting better range than my wife's r1s with 21' wheels.

My Gen2 R1T AT Max has about 900 miles on the Scorpions and I'm putting the Nokian Hakka R5 SUVs on today, so I'm thinking I might try to sell the Scorpions now and pick up some more efficient and eventually quieter ATs in the spring. Need the ATs for our CO mountain property where we also do some trails and bit of off-roading but nothing too serious. We also tow a Bambi so I'd probably prioritize 66% range, 33% off-road, 33% quiet. Hoping by the spring we'll have a goto spot on the board with reliable tire info options. Maybe it's already there but as others have said, threads like these are difficult to get definitive information.

Thanks. That is great news and just to make sure you have the 275/65R20 116T ? What tire pressure you run them at? 44psi?

They did fine in our rainy time, which is before winter. Any tire of this style will be good in rain.
