Can’t be too much more expensive. They are smaller than R1…will compete with R2 but it’s a more traditional vehicle with a lot of buttons and switches. I like the looks but probably not for me.

Serial Hybrid was the deal sealer for me - I just reserved one.

Beautiful design, IMO. Solid rear axle. Traditional suspension (or so it seems). 800V. But it was the hybrid that sold me. Loving the retractible roof option, though I'll probably skip it since I live somewhere very wet.

Killer specs

Really? $15k more than the R2, slower than R1 with less impressive specs (wading depth, ground clearance, speed, towing etc). Rivian has nothing to worry about.

They said starting at $60k. That doesn't give us much or what top trim costs. I will say the offroad chops seem to beat Rivian on paper; lockers, sway bar disconnect, a spare tire on the SUV.
