2024.27.01 Issue: WiFi Tethering not working

*Update 8/23/24 - As happened to others who initially had this issue, I tried it again today and now it's working, not sure what changed to make it so, but I'm glad it's resolved!


Updated successfully to 2024.27.01, and supposedly I should be able to tether to WiFi hotspot from my cell phone while driving, but even though I am able to connect while parked, as soon as I put into drive the WiFi disconnects. Anyone else have this issue?

Have you tried a hard and/or soft reset? It should be working as Jose from Rivian Tracker did a video yesterday testing it out.

to clarify are you connecting your phone to the truck’s hotspot or are you connecting your truck to a wifi hotspot like your phone? the former is what it sounds like you’re describing but the latter is the bullet point you highlighted in the release notes

It’s a known bug for some Rivian users. They are working on hotfix.

The latter, trying to connect my R1S to WiFi hotspot provided by my iPhone.

I wonder if they stopped the rollout to resolve it. I have not seen anything new in Electrify being downloaded today. They were rolling pretty good yesterday.

Seems like the deployments are going again so not sure why they had a delay earlier.

Ran into this issue yesterday on a road trip when stopping to charge and take a short break while my wife was working on an online presentation. Frustrating.

Same. Connected to my android phone hotspot. Turns off when switching to drive.
