I'm looking at 34.1" to replace current 20" AT tires, just to keep the same diameter.

It's confusing when many threads are about people switching from 21" to 20" and want to have 33" tires to match 21" diameter and compare with OEM efficiency (which is 21" tires efficiency).

I think LTX platinum has the same/similar efficiency is the 20" AT tires, but wondering if anyone use Agilis CrossClimate to replace their stock 20" AT tire and compare efficiency?? What other alternative (same diameters) have better efficiency than the stock 20" OEM tire?

Thanks

No opinion on tires, just commenting to say I like your spreadsheet. Very nicely laid out. ?

(although I'd probably look at AS rather than AT, if you don't go off-roading at all)

I’m in the same boat. I need to replace my OEM tires this month. I am willing to step down to a 33” diameter and now that Rivian has the Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT as a factory 275/60/20 option, I assume that they will be willing to reset the system.

Because 20” wheels on AS 275/60/20 tires is more efficient than the 21 OEM setup.

Search for the thread about Nitto Recon Grapplers. I gained efficiency and they are MUCH quieter and smoother. Go with the 116 load rating, not the heavy duty.

from a post I did on my 18 month anniversary (6-26-24)
Bridgestone Revo 3 (275/65-20)
  • 99% or more on all purpose, standard height, soft ride, standard regen, high stability. The old tires had a 2.14 m/kWh until the few thousand miles and jumped up when running on smooth tread.
  • Old tires only: mileage = 34,079, m/kWh = 2.22, kWh 15,196
  • New tires only: mileage = 3,965, m/kWh = 2.18, kWh 1,817 (Today = 4858 miles, 2.20 m/kWh)
  • Combined Total: mileage = 38,044, m/kWh = 2.24, kWh = 16,850.

Just out of curiosity, what pressure are you running, and are you concerned about the 44 psi max rating of the tire?

I’m running 45 to keep the TPMS from bitching. There’s just no danger with 1 psi over.

yes but some of us are 20” AT tires and want a more efficient 20” tires, and keep the same diameter as 20” AT (34.1”), not 33” to match 21 OEM

but that’s over the max?? Like the 20” OEM is recommended at 48psi but max rating is like 80psi.

Right, 1psi over. Totally irrelevant.

I thought most don’t even get near to the max. Like I mentioned, 20OEM tires recommends at 48psi and max is 80psi. So you have 30psi between recommended and max.

yours is above the max, as in I’m inflating the OEM at 81psi when it recommends at 48psi. It’s not about 1 over the max, it’s whether it’s very far from recommended psi

The door recommendation is for the OEM tires only. It sounds like his tires are not OEM which makes that recommendation moot.
