Gen 2 R1 Delivery Waiting Room ⏳ Post Your Orders!

Hey folks

First off, shoutout to Rivain support.... I accidentally ordered the wrong config in the hurry (FOMO ?) then I ordered the right config and they agreed to cancel & refund the deposit since I had a 2nd order placed shortly after the first.

My delivery for a Gen2 R1S is at status: "We're getting your vehicle ready. You'll receive an email to start the purchase process in 1-4 weeks.". No delivery date yet.
If anyone wants to share how they are going through the order/delivery timeframe, that may be a good place to do it

PS For the record I am taking delivery at the South San Francisco service center and bought a vehicle from the Shop, instead of building a custom config.

I think I’ll probably get the Tri-Max first and I think I’ll keep that and cancel the QM down the road. We’ll see! Good to have options lol.

Ordered a Large DM...

because of messed up Canadian pricing, getting a Gen 2 DM with all the improvements (including adding fun stuff like the dynamic glass, crossbars, mats etc) was CHEAPER than getting a 'discounted' Gen 1 quad from the shop...yeah the Canadian pricing was messed up when they first entered the Canadian market, I think they've worked on making it make more sense (still a bit too high imo)

I did the same thing when I ordered a Model X in 2019, lol. Tesla support allowed me to have a "do over". Funny how that happens!

I ordered a Gen2 R1T Dual - Max around 2pm MST yesterday. Super excited.

It’s an option at the very bottom of the R1T page, not in the configurator!

Interestingly, if you use those cards at the bottom of the model pages, it actually shows whether you can reserve, configure, or buy one already in the shop. Seems kinda dumb to me that they just omit some models (like the Quads) from the configurator. Why not let people reserve from there? Oh well...

I don’t think they’re done designing the quad honestly. I think that’s why.

The TM the only one that is non-refundable right? If so that is just collecting reservations right, interesting hobby but probably worse ones out there.

As for me reserved Tri-Motor R1T with AT Dark Package and Storm Blue. First estimate Oct-Nov 2024
