That's fair. Would be nice for them to give us the ability then to add or remove things from the back screen so that if you remove everything, it effectively is the same thing as it being "locked"

I guess it depends on the age of the kids. Mine are 9 and 5. The 9 year old is pretty responsible with it and doesn't screw around.

Someone on FB got the new update and said that they removed the ability to control music from the second row. IMO that's pretty terrible. I find it quite convenient to have my kids control music and not pester me while i'm driving to switch songs. if this is true, pretty big L in my books

I've had my Gen 2 R1S for two weeks now and I have to say i'm impressed (it's been -15c the last two days). It heats up just as fast as my Model Y albeit the R1S is MUCH louder lol. The range hit though in the cold (although anecdotal) is much worse. Granted the R1S is less efficient than the MY...

Same here. Ordered the day after Gen 2 orders started and have been sitting in Configuration confirmed since with a Sept-Oct delivery. I don't anticipate i'll hear anything soon since a) i'm in Canada and b) I have the dynamic roof

You know, I'll never understand the logic of building random configurations and throwing them in the shop instead of fulfilling ACTUAL orders you have that have been sitting in the queue since early June. Blows my mind

As much as i'd like to see it happen, i just don't see it happening yet. Leasing is a tool that Rivian can use to stimulate demand for their cars, and at least in Canada, there's more demand than supply. Until that changes, i don't see leasing starting up. My guess would be at some point in 2025.

I wish i didn't see this post lol. Apparently my build exactly popped into the Shop yesterday (minus the dynamic roof). Naturally i'd need to purchase the add-on seperately (roof rack, mats)
