You could use 285/60R20 which is only 0.5" difference in diameter...Platinum only appears to be available in 275/65/R20, not /60/.
I am not the OP but I put a set of these on my truck and they are getting between 1.9 and 2 whereas my OEM AT tires were about 2-2.1 miles per kWh. I'll update after I have a few thousand miles, but there might be a slight range hit due to their weight. All,
Any updates on efficiency/range with the new tires installed?
Thank you
Is there a difference in road noise? My Pirellis are screamers.I am not the OP but I put a set of these on my truck and they are getting between 1.9 and 2 whereas my OEM AT tires were about 2-2.1 miles per kWh. But it's so worth it for the ride quality. It's night and day. My truck is so much smoother and it "feels" like I'm using less energy when driving even if the computer says it's comparable or slightly less.
Yeah so were mine. These are super quiet. I don’t hear anything. Is there a difference in road noise? My Pirellis are screamers.
I've got 12k miles on the Michelin Platinums and my experience agrees with this. Over that time they are about 0.1 mi/kWh worse than the Pirelli AT. However I just spent 10 days in a loaner with the Pirellis and was immediately reminded how blasted LOUD those are. Getting my truck back felt like a big upgrade just due to the silence and ride.I am not the OP but I put a set of these on my truck and they are getting between 1.9 and 2 whereas my OEM AT tires were about 2-2.1 miles per kWh. All isn't perfect. I think the platinums aren't great in poor weather and I find myself wanting a bit better rain performance. I do not intend to buy these tires again. If buying today I would go regular LTX or the new 20" Goodyear AT as on the gen2 trucks (well...if we ever get the ability to choose between the two tire package diameters). Neither option existed last winter when I got tired of the mindnumbing noise from the Pirellis.
What would be the advantage of going to the 285s? Thanks. You could use 285/60R20 which is only 0.5" difference in diameter...
What size? Any pics? Any efficiency numbers? Thanks!Just put on my 2024 R1S. Wow. Super quiet. Super smooth. But rugged look.
