Tesla is simply strong arming the industry to take on more of the charging infrastructure development/build out now that nearly every auto maker has EV’s rolling out.

It’s not “lunatic Elon”, it’s a corporate power play. Not saying I agree with or support it, just my observations.

Are you saying that willfully torpedoing the greatest competitive advantage in this history of the automotive industry is actually a genius 9th dimensional corporate chess power play and not just a continuance of easily observable increasingly erratic behavior from a known drug user and spiraling conspiracy theorist?

Funny that no matter how much evidence to the contrary you are presented with, you say the same thing. All Tesla employees could write you personal emails saying Elon is an egomaniacal toddler and you would still say it’s “speculation”

Not to bash Sandy here but the only way people stay at the top is to continue improving. That is why they need R&D teams. I can’t think of anyone who climbed to the top then stopped all innovation who has managed to stay there.

I don't want to bash Sandy either, but this rant is just odd. It's almost like he's assuming that the current paradigm will last forever, and Tesla really didn't need any of these people at all. His whole business is based on continuous improvement!

If you're an engineer and the job is done you go look for another job? Since when is the Supercharger job done? No 800v. Installations in flight that are in limbo. An industry in transition that is just kicking off. V4 that hasn't even been deployed. Not to mention that there is always optimization to be done.

I mean, there is always fat that can be trimmed. This situation was just done via a chainsaw instead of a finely crafted knife in the hands of a master chef. To claim otherwise is lunacy.

Tesla will likely come back from it, but they shouldn't need to in the first place.

Hey, people gets fired and hired all the time in a business cycle . unless you were present in their executive board meeting, you do not know the inside story, or cost-benefit analysis that led to the decision. Please dont pretend to know something you can only speculate, and resort to all kinds of Juvenile name-calling. I know it sucks to get fired, just ask Rivian ex-workers. At least Tesla workers will be happy to exercise their stock options; 1057% in 5 yrs. Rivian? -92 % since the inception.
